Over the next few days we're going to be inundated with media clabber telling us what a wonderful humanitarian Jimmy Carter was. Well, I'm not going to rejoice at his passing as is the wont of leftists when a conservative passes, but I'm not going to mourn it either, and I think a little clarity should prevail starting with Andrea Widburg's article with her saying:
Ultimately, Carter was a guy who lived a life of personal rectitude
(he had the same wife for almost 80 years, went to church, etc.), but he
left the United States and the world in much worse shape than they were
when he found them
Leftist parents,
whose draft dodging children fled to Canada, whined how sorry they
were and wanted to come home now that all was safe. So Carter
pardoned them. He gave away the Panama Canal, and now we're seeing the
consequences of that. He passed the Community Reinvestment Act that
caused the housing bubble that thirty years later crashed the economy to the tune
of trillions of lost dollars.
He created the Department of
Education, another proven Carter disaster, and an expensive one at
that. His
policies, like Biden's, caused inflation, economic malaise, and the
energy crisis. Most don't remember the energy crisis, but we faced long
lines at gas stations all over the country. But it was very real
then, and it went on daily, and Carter's energy policies was the cause,
and among the left, none of that's changed.
He abandoned the
Shah of Iran allowing insane Islamists to take over, so they promptly
took over the U.S.
Embassy creating a hostage crisis that lasted 444 days. After cutting
the defense budget dramatically Carter oversaw a rescue mission that was
a
complete failure. When Reagan was elected the Mullah's decided Reagan
wasn't a wimp like Carter and ended that Carter driven fiasco.
Nonetheless, as a result of Carter's abandonment of the Shah of Iran, that nation became the nucleus for all the terror
movements that's killed untold thousands ever since, and it's believed,
and I believe it also, the Soviets invaded Afghanistan because they knew
Carter was weak and stupid.
Bill Clinton awarded Carter and his wife Rosalyn the Presidential Medal of Freedom saying:
“Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter have done more good things for more people in more places than any other couple on the face of the Earth,”
That was a lie! The greatest man to have lived in the 20th, and 21st centuries was Norman Borlaug, who saved a billion people from starvation with his 'green revolution' of high yield crops, synthetic fertilizers, and pesticides, and Carter would have been against that. It's time to see substance over shadow. Inflation, gas lines, incredibly stupid foreign and domestic policy to the tenth power creating failures that materialized disastrously for decades juxtapositioning how much long term damage an extremist administration like his could do. Until the Biden became president Carter had the dubious honor of being the dumbest man to ever occupy the White House, a standard no one thought would ever be broken, until now.
Here's why I could never be a politician. I won't his celebrate his passing, but I won't mourn it either.
- The Sainting of Jimmy Carter by “Christianity Today” Is a Farce - I was going to stay silent about the passing of Jimmy Carter, but reading the Christianity Today article was too much. I wish the best for Carter’s grieving family, and Carter should be lauded for his humanitarian efforts, his efforts to bring about peace in the Middle East, and for what I take was his sincere (if liberal) faith. But CT’s exercise in hagiography further destroys its reputation as a serious publication for evangelical Christians. A partial rundown:.........
- Jimmy Carter: His image vs. the reality I experienced covering his 1976 campaign - The contrast that I observed between the meme that dominated the
mainstream media and the Carter I witnessed closely on the campaign
trail was night and day. In personal appearances including press conferences, Carter was often
surly, angry, and short-tempered. This is often the case with national
politicians, Minnesota Democrat Sen. Hubert H. Humphrey, who ran
unsuccessfully for the presidency multiple times, being another example
that I witnessed close up. But with Carter it was different, because his whole public image in
1976 rested on his supposedly down-to-earth geniality and simpering
mien. “I will never lie to you,” was one of the main themes of his 1976
campaign. ............
- The Carter Era is Over, And not just because he's dead., by , 16 Comments -The Carter era is over not just because its eponymous figure kicked the last of a long line of buckets to reunite with the Ayatollah Khomeini and Fidel Castro on the world’s worst reunion tour in the world’s worst place, but because the era itself best epitomized by his legacy has come to an end.....
- Ask the Venezuelans how great an ex-president Jimmy Carter was December 30, 2024 by Monica Showalter Carter did much to legitimize the dictatorship in Venezuela as one that conducts free and fair elections. ....Amselem described in his long tweet-story how Carter paid a visit to Indonesia in 2004 and in his speech to the locals, launched into a series of verbal broadsides against U.S. foreign policy from the grounds of the U.S. embassy as the diplomats stared at each other, utterly stupefied.......
- Are the drones President Carter’s legacy? December 31, 2024 by Noel S. Williams Perhaps the message Carter cast into the cosmos has indeed been intercepted.....
- Scott Jennings Hits Jimmy Carter Over 'Borderline' Treasonous Legacy (Video)
- Jimmy Carter Was Never a Good Man. And Carter and Biden have a lot in common. Outgoing President Joe Biden urged incoming President Donald Trump to learn “decency” from permanently outgoing former president President Jimmy Carter. Biden once set his sights high by trying to compare himself to FDR and JFK, now has to settle for being the second Carter. On his way out the door, the media continues to insist that Biden is a good man. And that Carter, despite presiding over one of the worst administrations in history, was a good man. Biden and Carter had many things in common, record unpopularity, crooked brothers, and empowering Islamic terrorists, but decency was never one of them. Joe Biden was not a good man. Neither was Jimmy Carter.......
- As Media Fawns Over Jimmy Carter's Legacy, We Can See Their Rehabilitation Plans for Biden's Failed Presidency - After former President Jimmy Carter died on Sunday, hagiographies quickly appeared. Nobody wants to speak ill of the dead, especially if they’re Democrat, so this was to be expected. However, what was truly astonishing in their tone was that Carter’s disastrous four-year term in the White House, from 1977 to 1981, included a bunch of stuff that just kinda, you know, happened to him. It wasn’t his fault, seriously!.............
- Carter appears to be as decent to others as Biden is honest and empathetic - The media and others spend a lot of time rewriting history and misleading the public. Jimmy Carter was a terrible president, but the media said what a genuinely nice person he was otherwise. Yet, here we see a story about how he treated people when the cameras weren’t on, and he reportedly wasn’t the “decent” man the media wants to portray him as. Secret Service Says Carter Wasn’t ‘Decent’....such portrayals as a ‘total fairy tale’ perpetuated by the media. He also drew a parallel to Biden himself, noting reports that Biden allowed his German Shepherds to attack Secret Service agents. ‘What kind of decent person is that?’...... Carter would stage photo opportunities to appear relatable but allegedly behaved quite differently once the cameras were off.......‘He would actually tell Secret Service agents he did not want them to say hello to him on the way to the Oval Office because it was too much bother to say hello back.........One agent who drove Carter for five months and served on his detail for three and a half years said Carter never spoke to him, considering such interactions beneath him...
The Reality of Jimmy Carter, Part II
By Rich Kozlovich
When I published The Reality of Jimmy Carter on December 30th I didn't expect to have to do any further articles as I thought that pretty much said all that was needed to be said to show Jimmy Carter was not only a really bad president, he was a seriously flawed human being. However, as more articles appeared, never intending to do another article, I just proceeded to add updates from other writers at the end. Well, those articles were eye openers that need to be featured, hence, this piece is based on those updates.
First, you have to know the Pravda media, which is never adverse to rewriting history to promote and protect their leftist masters, would come out with all sorts of praise for Carter, as was done with this piece that pretty much canonized Carter. In this article, "The Sainting of Jimmy Carter by “Christianity Today” Is a Farce, the author takes umbrage with that stating:
The passing of President Jimmy Carter offered them another opportunity to prop up fake theological standards while lambasting people like President Ronald Reagan.......The article suggests that Carter’s disastrous presidency was foisted on him by outside events over which he could do nothing.........Anyone who knows how Carter facilitated the Islamists to take over Iran, or how his weak foreign policy emboldened Soviet aggression, will realize that his disastrous presidency had a lot to do with his own policies.
Personally, I thought the author was entirely too kind to Carter, but Daniel Greenfield has no such qualms stating, Jimmy Carter Was Never a Good Man, and he went on to say:
Carter and Biden have a lot in common (Editor's Note: That's a common theme which I'll come back to. RK).
Neither was Jimmy Carter.....[who] loved terrorists and so he not only embraced Arafat, but also Hamas..........Carter met with mass murderers responsible for starving half a million people to death and then with terrorists aspiring to take over countries like Israel not because he wanted to stop the violence, but because he wanted to dial it up further by providing them with legitimacy.
That included contacting world leaders and urging them to oppose the United States and making announcements in America’s name at meetings with foreign leaders. A normal D.C. lobbyist would have gone to prison for half the things that Carter did. And no one except a former president wearing the media mantle of sainthood could have gotten away with it...........The worst thing about Carter was the way he had of converting his crimes into virtues. Unrepentant until the day of his long-delayed death, Carter and his defenders always claimed that everything he did only came about because he was too trusting and forgiving.........Joe Biden could only dream of wearing that same fake religiosity that Jimmy wore...........
That's the kind of paint job the media is planning for Biden as the media fawns over Carter, Biden's rehabilitation is in the works,
because just like Carter, nothing was his fault, and the reason why is
because stuff just kind of happened to them, and it was someone else's
fault.
The reality of Jimmy Carter is when the cameras stopped rolling he was often
surly, angry, and short-tempered. While the media portrays Carter
as a great and wonderful person, he was not. Jimmy Carter and Joe Biden
had so much in common, Jack Hellner posted this piece, Carter appears to be as decent to others as Biden is honest and empathetic, showing how neither of them had a decent bone in their bodies.
One
of my four rules on how to find a marriage partner is you want to see
who they really are. How they treat their parents is important, but how
do they treat the waiters and waitresses? How do they treat the
garbageman, how they treat the least important people in their lives.
That's who they are, and neither Carter or Biden look good.
The author notes:
......here we see a story about how he treated people when the cameras weren’t on, and he reportedly wasn’t the “decent” man the media wants to portray him as. Secret Service Says Carter Wasn’t ‘Decent’....[declaring] such portrayals as a ‘total fairy tale’ perpetuated by the media.
Like Carter, Biden was just as vile.
He also drew a parallel to Biden himself, noting reports that Biden allowed his German Shepherds to attack Secret Service agents. ‘What kind of decent person is that?’......Carter would stage photo opportunities to appear relatable but allegedly behaved quite differently once the cameras were off.......‘He would actually tell Secret Service agents he did not want them to say hello to him on the way to the Oval Office because it was too much bother to say hello back.........One agent who drove Carter for five months and served on his detail for three and a half years said Carter never spoke to him, considering such interactions beneath him...
The Pravda
media is guilty of lying, massively. Lies of commission, as well as
lies of omission. And I'm sure more will be coming out because the
Pravda media never stops vilely rewriting history forcing those who know
the truth to stand up to refute their lies. The upside is the Pravda
media has so little credibility it's swirling around the drain to
oblivion, and from now on it will be far more easy to refute their
lies.
The Reality of Jimmy Carter, Part III
By Rich Kozlovich
Let's talk about the Carter legacy. First, have you heard about the "surprising greatness of Jimmy Carter?" Well, here it is with all it's vile historical misrepresentations, You Won't Believe How Washington Monthly Compared Carter and Reagan, actually giving Carter the credit for the fall of the Soviet Union versus anything Reagan did.
They even claim Reagan conspired with the Iranian hostage takers to "delay the release of the American embassy hostages in order to damage Carter’s reelection chances." And while they admitted they were biased still claimed these lies, misrepresentations, and delusions devoid of facts was "the best assessment of Carter you'll read today."
As I said in Part II, "The Pravda media is guilty of lying, massively. Lies of commission, as
well as lies of omission. And I'm sure more will be coming out because
the Pravda media never stops vilely rewriting history forcing those who
know the truth to stand up to refute their lies. The upside is the
Pravda media has so little credibility it's swirling around the drain to
oblivion, and from now on it will be far more easy to refute their
lies," well that's exactly what's happening.
Here's an article by Jeff Charles, "Scott Jennings Drops Truth Bomb About the Real Jimmy Carter", saying:
“He was a terrible president,” Jennings said. “That’s why he lost in a
landslide after his one term.”.........[an]“even worse
ex-president because of his meddling in US foreign policy, because of
his saddling up to dictators around the world, because off he
vehement…anti-Israel views, and more than dabbling in anti-Semitism over
the years.”
The conversation went on about his belief he even though he wasn't President was "uniquely" positioned to meddle in foreign affairs , which “was meddlesome to his successors” and “forgot sometimes that he still wasn’t president.” Then one Carter supporter commented none of that should "mar the record of global humanitarian good that he did", but doing something right doesn't eliminate all the vile things a person does. Jennings noted that during the Persian War:
“He wrote letters to all of our allies and to Arab states, asking them to abandon their cooperation and coalition with the United States of America.”......“If it’s not treasonous, it’s borderline treasonous.....showed that he cared more about his own legacy than he did about the country, and I think that is wrong......"
Carter was vile, and so is the media, and in point of fact, has always been vile with their depredations against truth, with delusions they try to foist off on to an unsuspecting public, and have been doing it for decades, and getting away with it.
In 2021 Marc Morano posted how the Washington Post rewrote history, blaming Reagan for "global warming" saying if Carter had gotten an extra term in office, we likely wouldn’t be having a climate crisis right now". A lie within a lie since there is no such thing as manmade climate crisis, but if Carter had gotten re-elected I'm sure he would have been more that willing to create one.
As my now passed friend Dr. Jay Lehr noted in 2011:
Climate change is not a scientific problem that found political support; this is about eco-activists and politicians who found a scientific issue they feel can leverage them into power and control. The environment is a great way to advance a political agenda that favors central planning and an intrusive government. What better way to control someone’s property than to subordinate one’s private property rights to environmental concerns.
In 2019 Jimmy Carter claimed Donald Trump is an illegitimate president, put in office by the Russians, and even lied regarding "President Trump’s reaction to the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, saying:
.......“we tried when I was president, we tried to put human rights as a measuring stick in every incident.” Carter is lying. President Carter abandoned the pro-America Shah of Iran, enabling the murdering mullahs to take over the once thriving state.....[was an] ally of the murdering terrorist Yasser Arafat, despite his horrific human rights violations against the people of Israel. Even to this day the viciously anti-Semitic Carter slanders Israel when defending itself against Palestinian terrorists, and will often refer to Israel as an apartheid state..... [a] pathetic and incompetent president. 40 years after his presidency many are still suffering for his ineptitude and his appeasement of human rights abusers who thrived during his administration. No rational person should take anything Carter says seriously...........
Carter was a disgrace as President, and even the Democrats thought so
back then, but he was an even bigger disgrace as a
past President. He had the dubious honor of being the dumbest man to
ever occupy the White House, at least until Biden rescued him. However,
it might even be reasonably claimed both Obama and Biden rescued him.
Even in 2018 Bruce Thornton called it "The Worst Ex-President Derby", and that was before Biden.
A great deal of what we've had to contend with these last decades was caused by his incompetent administration, including the the Community Reinvestment Act, which my article goes into great detail of how it caused the housing bubble that exploded creating a worldwide economic downturn.
That was a Carter legacy.
But worse yet, he allowed the Shah of Iran to be overcome, and with support from American generals. The end result? The Middle East became a breeding ground for governments that supported Islamic terrorists.
That was a Carter legacy.
Then there was the
deal with North Korea to advance their nuclear program. Who in their
right minds would want to help that lunatic advance a nuclear
program. Answer: Bill Clinton and the second dumbest President of the United States, Jimmy Carter, but Kim promised he wouldn't use that technology to build bombs, and they accepted that.
Dimwits, nitwits, halfwits, and dipsticks, what a bench. Kim and his
crowd must have really thought that was hilarious, and Obama, who was
even dumber than Carter, continued to support Kim
and then make a similar deal with Iran. Dumb, dumber, and dumbest!
That was a Carter legacy.
For this moron to have publicly criticized anyone else about anything
was disgraceful, and moreover, for anyone to invite him to spout on
about
geopolitics or national politics in public was not only disgraceful,
it's a clear demonstration of leftist stupidity, and insanity.
But here's what's telling. There was a time when Democrats also thought
he was the dumbest man to ever occupy the White House, but now, with the
collective intelligence of the Democrat Party being on par with Jimmy
Carter, they're all as dumb as dirt.
- Update: Jimmy Carter and craft beer, By Frank Friday - Jimmy Carter was an awful president. He wasn’t a crook like Joe Biden, but for actual presidential acts, he was perhaps the worst. Certainly, he was the worst ex-president. In office, he did things like give away the Panama Canal, without retaining any control or even minimal security rights. Problems we are still dealing with right now. Not to mention the disastrous China appeasement policy. Wanting to recognize Red China was bad enough. But there was no reason to drop formal relations with Taiwan, the Republic of China. Many countries sent ambassadors to both. But no, Carter was always eager to help out the totalitarians...........
