An Abundance of Uncertainties

By Rich Kozlovich

George Friedman is the owner of Geopolitical Futures, a subscription site, and well worth it, I just upped my subscription for three more years, who has stated on more than one occasion the cold war didn't really end with the collapse of the Soviet Union.  The cold war was predicated on preventing Russia from conquering Europe, hence the creation of NATO.  But the collapse of the Soviet Union didn't alter Russian goals.   The still had the same goal of taking over Europe just as it was the Soviet Union's.   As a result the cold war continued as a practical reality.   George states that concern ended with the Russo/Ukrainian War, which ended the cold war reality.

Previous to this, everyone, including me, believed NATO was a wet paper bag without the United States, and it was!   As a result without American support it was reasonably beleived Russia could drive down the North European plain right into France, and Europe wouldn't be able to stop them.  While I believed Russia could cut right through Europe, but I didn't believe they could hold it.  Even before this it was clear Russia didn't have the economic wherewithal, nor did they have the manpower to do so as Russia's demographic pyramid was a mess. Well, everyone, including me, was wrong!  Even without American support we now realize Europe still had the technological and military capability and wherewithal to have stopped them in Poland.

Russia has what they consider seven defensive gaps that must be maintained.  Ten years ago they only had manpower to fully man three of them, and it's gotten much worse since then as Putin is destroying his young population.  The Russian demographic pyramid was already all out of whack with the 15 to 50 demographic filled with alcoholics, drug users, victims of AIDS and drug resistant TB.   The critical 15 to 50 age group which creates the economy and the next generation, both of which he's destroying.   Socialism always turns into a form of monarchy.    It doesn't matter whether you call an autocrat Emperor, Chairman, President or King.  An autocrat is an autocrat and invariably they cannibalize the societies they control.

We now we know Russia isn't the mighty bear we thought it was.   Russia had what was considered the number two military in the world, yet it has been unable to defeat the number twenty two rated military in almost four years, and has now had to resort to threatening to use nukes.

Russia's now lost hundreds of thousands of young men, and is now running out of young bodies to fight the war and being forced to using "volunteers" from N. Korea and China.  They can't manufacture all of their own military hardware, and is now being attacked with drones deeper inside Russia destroying their oil and gas depots, which they had already used to  destroy the Russian Black Sea fleet.  Drones are the new military strategic horizon, giving small nations a fighting chance, and that technology is going to expand massively now, right along with laser weaponry, which I've written about.

The reality of Russia's demographics is coming home to roost as now they're inviting immigrants from Africa and Asia to work in their factories, and that's a poison pill since it was estimated over ten years ago the ethnic population of Russia would be a minority in their own land by 2040, fifteen years away.  I've not seen any recent estimates but I wouldn't be shocked to see that's closer to eight years away now.  It's interesting to see how many are coming from the former Soviet Republics of Central Asia, since they're following their own economic visions with international trade and moving closer to China.   And... Russia's economic minister is predicting a recession.  The hits just keep right on coming.

So, back to George Friedman.  He notes this real end of the cold war has put the world's leaders in a quandary seeking an anchor to their thinking and planning, and that's moving away from Europe to the Middle East and Asia.

What the world is facing is a much higher level of  geopolitical risks than has existed for decades, none of which will go away any time soon, and those are tied in with very serious domestic political issues which are going go haunt us for decades, much of them due to the unbridled immigration the Obama/Biden cabal forced on America in order to destroy America.  And please stop foolishly believing otherwise because if you can't accept that, you can't understand anything going on.  The evidence of that was obvious to the most casual observer while Obama was President, and now it's overwhelming since Trump was reelected and everything they did is being exposed for the treason it was.

Economically the world is in trouble with the world's nations being in debt to almost 310 trillion dollars,  much of which can't be repaid, and most political "leaders" are averse to fixing that as they're embracing the welfare state mentality to keep their jobs, including America, which I believe the Big Beautiful Bill will demonstrate when it passes. The result is we're looking at inflation and a worldwide recession on the horizon.

Investors are becoming more and more risk averse, and rightly so, especially the new generation coming up.   Fixed income is in jeopardy, and trade policies are shifting the world's focus on investments with no idea what to do about it.

Do I believe there will there be less violence, enhanced with a better, safer, and more stable economic climate in the near future?  No!

And that's the only thing I'm certain about.

Observations From the Back Row With News and Views For March 23, 2025.

By Rich Kozlovich

The problem for so many is a lack of focus.  Now that I've been retired for a few years I find that to be more and more true.  As we start out our lives reality forces us to to focus on our careers.  Then as we marry we focus on our marriage.  Then the children come along and we focus on the needs of the nuclear family.  If you're a business owner, we focus on building the business with a focus on retirement.  Then....  all of a sudden.....  you hit that age when the children are gone and on their own, you're retired and you don't have to get up to go to work, you don't have a schedule to lend focus to your day, and the biggest decisions you make are when to go to bed, when to get up, whether to take a nap or not, and this is the big one.   Will I have breakfast at home or out?

At that point you're forced to ask, what should I be doing in my life now?  If you're used to doing things, then that requires some personal reflection.  If that's not to your taste, you can just sit and watch TV until you die.  That's the conundrum for Democrats now.  Reflection!

One Democrat talking head is just stunned Trump supporters are not turning on him like the Democrats turned on little Chuckie Schumer.  In fact, they just can't grasp how or why Trump supporters love what he's doing.  Why?   The answer is simple.  It's a failure to reflect on reality, which causes an inability to focus on reality.  Instead of worrying about why Trump supporters aren't turning on Trump, their focus should be on asking why their approval ratings are in the toilet, and why America isn't buying the horsepucky from the left and why their media lackeys no longer matter.

But they won't, and in point of fact, they can't.   At least if they wish to remain leftists and Democrats, because everything they promote is being rejected, so if they change by recognizing and accepting reality, then they can't be leftists, or Democrats any longer.    It's like asking a Muslim to reject jihad, which is central to Islam.  If they do that, then they're not Muslims.   Democrats and Muslims get those distinctions.  Conservatives need to get them also.

Let's not delude ourselves, the nation is in the midst of a third revolution. Radical leftists are physically attacking people and destroying property, and the Democrat party thinks that all just fine and dandy.  They're deeply entrenched in policies that are destroying America culturally and economically.  The federal judiciary - for decades - has been attempting to destroy the Constitutional separation of powers and impose a kritocracy (rule by judges) on the nation, and now they're in open rebellion, and finally, America gets that.

What I'm finding to be a bit shocking is the race in Wisconsin for a seat on their Supreme Court on April 1.  It has been considered a shoo in for a far left radical, who has made it clear she would like to control redistricting in order to make sure more Democrats are elected to Congress.  But now, all of a sudden, it seems the conservative candidate actually has a chance, and he's been endorsed by Trump.  If that happens it will be a shock to the left, but I wouldn't bet the house on it.
Greenpeace in North Dakota and lost to the tune of  "more than $660 million dollars", and Elon Musk is suing Democrat Jamaal Bowman for calling him a ‘Nazi’ on CNN.  There's nothing like a good civil penalty to get peoples head on straight.

Is George Soros behind all this?  Well, it's being reported his money is behind:

"Indivisible, a nationwide activist network that has taken over $7.6 million from Soros’ Open Society Foundation since 2017, is helping to lead efforts to push Schumer out of his seat".

If that's true, and I'm sure it is, then how many other groups has he funded, and how many are being funded surreptitiously though the Tides Foundation.

The Tides Center was launched in 1996 as an offshoot of the Tides Foundation. It has incubated numerous social justice, environmental, gun-control, and abortion-rights groups. George Soros's Open Society Foundations, the Ford Foundation, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, and the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation have all pushed funding through the network.

One thing we do know is his money is being used to destroy America, and that's been known for many years.  So, if that's true, and it is, when does someone start a massive RICO investigation about regarding the Dark Money funding all this destructive behavior?  These vile characters are described by Daniel Greenfield as "the absentee owners of the Democrat Party."  Here's more on the funding behind so much destructive activity.

Below are links to articles that have appeared over the last two days dealing with: ActBlue, Autopen, Culture, Democrats, DOGE, Economics, Immigration, Judiciary, Lawfare, Mexico, Middle East, and Religion.

Take some time and make your picks.  Enjoy!

 ActBlue

Federal Judges Are on the Payroll of China, CCP, Mexican Drug Cartels - I've argued for years that the open border was an intentional plan to destroy America by welcoming in millions of foreign invaders. The goal was to create a welfare state and get them all to vote Democrat, so eventually no Republican could ever be elected again.  I've also argued for years that the Democrat politicians who supported this plan were on the payroll of China, the Chinese Communist Party and the Mexican drug cartels..........And now, word is out the FBI and Congress are about to indict top players at ActBlue........Now we come to Democrat-appointed federal judges. These are the "enforcers" for this dirty Democrat/deep state conspiracy to destroy America with open borders..............

Autopen

The Autopen, The Presidency And The Constitution: What To Know - The “autopen” is in vogue. On March 17, President Donald Trump announced in a late-night social media post that he would ignore several pardons issued by his predecessor, President Joe Biden, because they were allegedly signed by autopen............

Autopen on autopilot - That a president of the United States was unfit for four years is the biggest scandal in American history. Where is the accountability and reckoning?..........

How much did Joe know? - The autopen story and all of the talk about Biden’s cognitive decline raises a question.  How much did President Biden know?  Did he understand just how far to the left he was being pushed?  I am not trying to make excuses for Mr. Biden, but this leftist tilt was not what I thought would happen.  Maybe I’m alone, but I actually did think that President Biden would be more centrist and stay away from extremes.....

My Take - While it seems clear to me Biden was clueless about a lot of these signatures, but I  really don't see this going where conservatives wish for it to go.  All Joe has to say is I ordered them to use autopen, and I have no doubt he will do that.  He has to, because if he doesn't he's admitting he really wasn't aware of what was going on, and he really wasn't President,  and that's not who Joe Biden is, and that will pretty much end it.  RK

Culture

Righteous Attacks Bringing the Left to Heel - Democrat leaders like Senator Chuck Schumer message thinly veiled threats of violence to their (increasingly small) numbers of followers. They are responding in counterproductive ways like torching and defacing Tesla cars and trucks, vehicles most likely owned by Democrats who believe in the climate change fairy tale and want to reduce CO2 emissions. The logical response of Democrat owners is to blame and leave the party that provokes this nonsensical criminal behavior. .......

Democrats

Not Radical Enough: The Left Devours Its Own as Pro-Palestinian Mob Ambushes Democrat at Town Hall - A growing wave of unhinged, pro-Palestinian activism is turning violent and cannibalistic, as radical leftists now target even their own Democrat allies for failing to embrace enough Jew-hatred, with town halls erupting into chaos, assaults, and outright domestic terrorism.  This is what happens to progressives when they aren’t radical or anti-Semitic enough for the fringe Left. Rep. Sean Casten (D-IL) is certainly not conservative. He hates Republicans, and he despises Elon Musk, but he evidently doesn’t hate Israel enough to appease the pro-Palestinian faction of his base at a town hall last week........

My Take - When you sow the wind, you reap the whirlwind, and when your base is the far left, this should have been expected.  The Democrat party has been inciting violence and civil disorder for years, even funding it through the Deep State, and yet, now they're shocked.  Imagine that.  The Democrat party is in a state of collapse. Schadenfreude!

A Democratic congressman gets a taste of the Left’s unhinged hate - On Wednesday, he got a taste of the unhinged Jew-hatred on the Left, and it was just one of a number of disturbances that happened at congressional events during the week. At least one of them turned violent.

President Trump and unitary power - No, not President Trump’s unitary power.  I’m referring to the left’s belief in its unitary power.  “Our democracy” is not about democracy in the same vein that “our truth” is not about truth.  The left’s interest is about not democracy, but power.  If voting works to their advantage, they support the vote.  When the people denounce their legislative and executive candidates, they fall back on their “activists” in the Judicial Branch.......

When silence is permission - In the last two weeks, we have seen numerous acts of violence and vandalism across the country. First came the coordinated attacks on Teslas, Tesla dealerships, and charging stations. The second is the rash of swatting, targeting conservative voices......What we saw from the Democrats was pathetic yet entirely expected. Rather than condemn acts of violence, they actually encouraged them. .....

Democrats’ ambivalence about healthy authority in America - One of my favorite New Yorker cartoons shows a psychiatrist hitting his patient on the couch over the head with his shoe, exclaiming, “It may have been right even if your mother said so!”  Democrats, in addition to a massive loss of a sense of humor and common sense, have recently lost sight of the importance of a healthy presence of authority to maintain the fabric of any society...........Mere blind destructive resistance at any cost and to anything Trump tries without offering constructive alternatives is political suicide and homicide — and is getting beyond the symbolic..........

America's Toughest Governor, Maine's Janet Mills, Just Folded Like A Cheap Lawn Chair- You remember the story, right? All of the nation's governors were at the White House for a meeting with Donald Trump on February 22nd, and Maine's Janet Mills stole the show, as it were.  Trump, a couple weeks earlier, had signed an executive order to ban biological males from competing in women's sports, and threatened to pull education funding to districts, states, and colleges/universities that did not comply. Enter Governor Mills.............

Politico: The Midterm Elections Ain't Looking Good for Democrats - As if the Democrats’ ignominious defeat in 2024 wasn’t bad enough, they could be headed for even worse in the upcoming midterm elections. A Politico report detailed the level of dissatisfaction Democratic voters are feeling toward their party at the moment. After the election and Senate Democrats capitulating to Republicans during the spending bill battle, it is not too surprising that the proverbial thrill is gone.............

Why domestic terrorism from the left?  Throughout America, we are seeing concentrated, escalating acts of domestic terrorism, from “swatting” of conservative media personalities to the firebombing of Tesla dealerships and street thuggery by activist miscreants (and crazy people) accosting Tesla owners across the country.  I would also add the astroturfing of Republican town halls, and what we’re seeing in the form of judicial activism as forms of terrorism.  But why are we seeing this? We are seeing this because the left have nothing else.  Truly.  What is their current platform?............

Far-Left Radicals Threaten and Shut Down AMAC Event in Oregon - A radical far-left group threatened and shut down a conservative event in King City, Oregon organized by AMAC, with OR State Rep. Ed Diehl, and speakers from United Sovereign Americans, Heritage Action and Turning Point USA. An Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC) event was supposed to take place today, Saturday, March 22, 2025.......... These peaceful, God, and America-loving groups were supposed to share in an open setting thoughts and ideas to support sensible legislation, fiscal responsibility, and accountability at all levels of government.............This was too much for the radical left in Oregon. They had to shut this down. To hell with free speech, do what the Nazis did and prevent those not supporting your ideas from ever gathering together and scare them into submission, then label them Nazis...........

GOP Rep. Lawler: Schumer Admitted Dems Sending Protesters to Republican Districts - Representative Mike Lawler (R-NY) said Thursday on CNN’s “Newsnight” that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) had said multiple times that the Democratic Party is sending protesters to Republican town halls to be disruptive.  Lawler said, “Let me just make a point as a member that is in a swing district, okay. I have and continue to do in person events, including today, where i was protested by climate activists. okay. they showed up, barged into a private luncheon with the Rockland Business association and screamed and yelled for five minutes and then finally left.”..........

Ezra Klein: CA Learned Nothing from High-Speed Rail Failure, Dems Ignore Failed Governance -  California hasn’t learned anything from its failure on high-speed rail and Democrats are treating their problems with effective governance as “not a real problem.” .... “are driving people out, working-class families out of the states that they govern because the cost of living is too high and the cost of living is too high, in part for regulatory reasons, in part for taxes...... not enough homes, not enough energy, not a government capable of delivering. And they’ve been treating that as not a real problem......

Deep State/FBI/The Purge

The FBI flees the FBI - I’ve been writing about the amazingly corrupt and illegal practices of the FBI for years, including recently in The FBI hides evidence of being the FBI, a cautionary tale about FBI agents destroying incriminating evidence of their misdeeds:..........
The Department of Education: A perspective from 1979 - Recently, I found something in a box of memorabilia — an Aug. 3, 1979 Michigan Daily, the student newspaper of the University of Michigan. Why do we save old newspapers or magazines?  Why did I save this one?  Maybe it’s because, in 1979, I was back on the University of Michigan campus in Ann Arbor, working on a new minor, after graduating in 1973 with a major in English and a minor in psychology in the School of Education..............

DOGE

Marlow on Alan Jackson Now: DOGE Is Actually Accomplishing What Dems Said They Wanted To Do -  On Friday’s “Alan Jackson Now,” “Alex Marlow Show” host and Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow stated that DOGE is just doing things some on the left acknowledge they should have done and others have given lip service to doing.  Marlow said that some on the left acknowledge “they blew it, they should have done a DOGE when Biden was in and when Obama was in” but that this view hasn’t broken into the mainstream.....

The Sky Will Not Fall and America Won’t Grind to a Halt Because Some Federal Employees Are Losing Their Jobs Due to DOGE - Fear is a strong motivator—especially when it’s given a political megaphone. And Democrat officials, public employee unions, and their minions in the media have no qualms about trying to terrify the public with ridiculous claims in an attempt to counter President Donald Trump’s swamp-cleansing initiatives through the work of the Department of Government Efficiency. Just look at the recent hysteria from Capitol Hill. Last month, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., likened the dismissal of federal employees to “a bank robber trying to fire the cops and turn off the alarm just before he strolls into the lobby.”............

Economics

Understanding Tariffs -Eventually, President Trump’s tariffs may help the (re)establishment of a domestic industry production and the creation of jobs unless it involves the type of jobs typically done robotically..

19 Reasons Why the Federal Reserve Is at the Heart of Our Economic Problems - Most Americans have absolutely no idea how we got into the mess that we are in today.  The reason why the U.S. government is 36 trillion dollars in debt and our society as a whole is 102 trillion dollars in debt is because the system is performing exactly as it was designed.  We have a system that was literally designed to create colossal amounts of debt.  But if you ask most Americans about this, they cannot tell you what the Federal Reserve is or why it is at the heart of our economic problems...............The truth is that the Federal Reserve is a privately-owned banking cartel that has been given a perpetual monopoly over our monetary system by the U.S. Congress.  This privately-owned central bank has been destroying the value of the U.S. dollar for decades, it has run our economy into the ground, and it has driven the U.S. government to the brink of bankruptcy.  The Federal Reserve operates in great secrecy  and it acts as if it is not accountable to the American people.  Yet the decisions that the Federal Reserve makes have a dramatic impact on the lives of every single American citizen.............

Immigration

/>

Mahmoud Khalil: The Lawfare Circus Delayed, but the Show Must Go OnCharlton Allen Memo to law enforcement: Do your job, and let the activist lawyers rage on MSNBC while you enforce the law............

Gang Violence in Sweden Is a Crisis Decades in the Making, Experts Say - Magnus Lindgren, a former police chief general secretary of the Safer Sweden Foundation, said there were 15,000 ’very dangerous criminals’ in Sweden.  On March 12, sanctions were imposed on Rawa Majid, a Swedish gangster known as The Kurdish Fox, by the Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).  Majid, 38, who was born in Iran, is the leader of the so-called Foxtrot Network, one of the most powerful organized crime gangs in Sweden...........Why have criminals like The Kurdish Fox thrived in Sweden, and why has violent crime, including bombings and shootings, gone up so much in recent years?............“Criminal policy has long been characterized by ideals of humanism, which originate from the 1970s, with the view that it is society’s fault if crime is committed, not the individual’s,” it stated.  “As a consequence, treatment has come before punishment and non-custodial sanctions before imprisonment.”..........

Trump Administration Revoking Legal Status of over 500K Biden-Era Migrants - The Trump administration is revoking the legal status of more than 500,000 migrants who entered the United States through a Biden administration parole program. CBS News reported that 532,000 migrants from countries such as Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela, who entered the country through a program called CHNV, will have their “work permits and deportation protections” terminated in April. Per CBS News:.....

Martha’s Vineyard invasion forgotten - Recently, U.S. District judge James Boasberg banged his gavel and directed the Trump administration to stop deporting alleged Venezuelan gang members without a hearing. Boasberg wanted those planes turned around in mid-flight and returned to the United States. This reaction of this federal judge surprised me, because the invasion of Martha’s Vineyard in 2022 was resolved quickly, quietly, and then relegated to the dustbin of history. Entitled, affluent, residents of Martha’s Vineyard narrowly avoided a disaster of epic proportions in 2022. Apparently, 50 (that’s f-i-f-t-y) illegal aliens were FedExed by Governor Ron DeSantis to the enclave of the rich and famous. These immigrants wanted a better life in America, learned that Martha’s Vineyard was a sanctuary city, and believed their proud signage:..............

Why have permanent foreigners? - Among the left’s outrage about the arrest for possible deportation of Mahmoud Khalil — the Columbia University rabble-rouser who distributed propaganda on behalf of a foreign terrorist organization, Hamas — is that the former student is a legal permanent resident.  “He has a green card!” they exclaim whenever legal permanent residents are deported.  Take for example the “Milwaukee mom,” here since practically birth who was sent back to Laos...after being released from prison for interstate trafficking of marijuana.......... And once one crosses that border, neither a visa nor a green card immunizes him from account for things like spreading propaganda for foreign terrorist organizations like Hamas.  Or supporting foreign terrorist organizations like Hezb’allah by “just happening” to have attended a terrorist’s funeral while back in the old country. .........

Judiciary

Hegseth CRUSHES Crazed Biden Judge in Response to Her Order Forcing Pentagon to Allow Transgender Troops - Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth absolutely crushed a federal judge in response to her order forcing the Pentagon to allow transgender troops. In January President Trump signed the “Restoring America’s Fighting Force” executive order and the “Prioritizing Military Excellence and Readiness” executive orders, which direct every element of the U.S. military to “operate free from any preference based on race or sex” and root out gender insanity and made up pronoun usage, respectively. Earlier this week, Judge Ana Reyes, a Biden appointee from Uruguay, issued a temporary nationwide injunction blocking Trump’s transgender military ban.................

My Take - Another foreign born federal judge?  Right along with term limits, and a failure to define jurisdictional authority of the federal judiciary, that's another Constitutional error Founding Fathers that needs to be fixed. RK

Obama-Appointed Judge’s Anti-DOGE Ruling Is So “Weirdly Written” That It Could Lead to the Shutdown of Social Security - A federal judge on Thursday barred DOGE from accessing social security systems.  US District Judge Ellen Hollander, an Obama appointee, said DOGE’s workers are on a “fishing expedition.” “The DOGE Team is essentially engaged in a fishing expedition at SSA, in search of a fraud epidemic, based on little more than suspicion. It has launched a search for the proverbial needle in the haystack, without any concrete knowledge that the needle is actually in the haystack,” Judge Hollander wrote. Far-left organizations like AFL-CIO, the American Federation of Teachers and other plaintiffs sued the Social Security Administration, Elon Musk, DOGE and other Trump advisors...............

DOJ Wants Judge Removed From Case Challenging Trump’s Executive Order - The Department of Justice filed a motion on March 21 requesting District of Columbia District Judge Beryl Howell disqualify herself from Perkins Coie LLP’s case challenging President Donald Trump’s executive order against it due to her publicly declared disdain for the president and her connection with essential aspects of the case...

The center of infection - Not much is remarked yet on the federal judges trying to legislate from the bench in denying Donald Trump’s executive orders and immigration policies is how a number of them all live within walking (or at least biking) distance of each other. James Boasberg, who tried to order the Trump administration to bring back planes of violent illegal alien gang members being flown to El Salvador’s prisons, lives in “Chevy Chase, D.C.,” the posh D.C. neighborhood bordering the town of Chevy Chase, Maryland, where Boasberg’s Yale Law classmate Justice Brett Kavanaugh resides.............

Welcome to the Krytocracy - We may think we live in a democracy, which comes from the Greek words “demos” (people) and “kratos” (rule). But with one federal district judge after another attempting to stop President Donald Trump from carrying out his policies, it’s starting to look more like a “krytocracy,” or rule by judges. Look at the litigation tracker from the organization Lawfare and you’d think it was from Trump’s first 100 months, not first 100 days. Here’s a small sample of what his administration is being challenged on: deporting criminal or terrorist-supporting aliens; freezing federal funding to avoid fraud and waste; giving federal employees a voluntary early severance package; DOGE (too many times to go into); making senior civil servants more accountable to the president; and dismantling federal agencies that no longer serve the national interest.........

Lawfare

Alarming Situation: Elon Musk Says He’s Suing Democrat Jamaal Bowman for Calling Him a ‘Nazi’ on CNN - Elon Musk has had enough. He announced on X Friday that he was suing Jamaal Bowman for calling him a ‘Nazi’ and a ‘thief’ on CNN. Bowman is the former Democrat congressman who infamously pulled a fire alarm to delay a vote......Democrats have turned up their violent rhetoric and lying about Musk. It’s created a political atmosphere so toxic that domestic terrorists are now targeting Tesla dealerships, vehicles, and charging stations by vandalizing and torching them. Commenters make the connection.......

 Mexico

Bone Dry Border Dispute Leaves Farmers High And Dry - The Trump administration has lambasted Mexico for its failure to adhere to a water treaty established in 1944, according to Republican Senator Ted Cruz from Texas. Cruz has been insisting that Mexico fulfill its water supply obligations, but it was the Trump administration that finally took action to protect the rights of farmers near the Rio Grande. Frankly, it’s about time. Mexico has consistently reneged on its water responsibilities for decades. The 1944 Water Treaty, officially known as the Treaty Regarding the Use of Waters of the Colorado and Tijuana Rivers and the Rio Grande, was signed between the United States and Mexico on February 3, 1944. The treaty aimed to allocate the waters of these rivers between the two countries, ensuring that both nations had reliable access to essential water resources needed for agriculture, industry, and urban development........

Middle East

Iranian Regime’s Nuclear Crisis and Diplomatic Tensions: Negotiation or Confrontation? -The Iranian regime’s nuclear program has once again become the focal point of international tensions. According to a report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Iran has produced 275 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60%. This level of enrichment brings Iran dangerously close to the 90% threshold necessary for developing a nuclear weapon.............

Iraq’s Debt to America: It’s Time to Collect - It’s time for President Trump to stop playing nice. Iraq, a country we’ve invested trillions in over the past two decades, owes us. The reconstruction, the security operations, and the countless lives lost—all funded by American taxpayers. Yet, while we’ve spent this immense sum on their recovery, Iraq continues to sit on one of the world’s largest oil reserves. It’s time to call in the debt.

Religion

About Those 100 'Faith Leaders' Who Support Reckless Government Spending - We’re seeing a society become unhinged…again. Trump has quite a way with the radical Left. They absolutely hate him and DOGE, and they hourly lose it. Now they’re burning Teslas (so much for climate care), raging in hotel lobbies and on college campuses to defend Hamas supporters, and cursing up a storm at rallies.   It's not just paid activists and politicians jumping into the resistance ring; it’s leftist “faith leaders” too. Recently, nearly 100 “progressive” religious folks signed a letter demanding an unbiblical “Return to Jesus.” The Lenten letter demanded that hundreds of millions of wasted taxpayer dollars continue to flow to (leftist) NGOs. ..........100 “faith leaders” are the religious collaborators who are manipulating the public as they demand that we all bow to the State. .............Nearly every one of the signers is radically pro-abortion: Jim Wallis (Sojourners), Shane Claiborne (Red Letter Christians), Bishop Claude Alexander (Evangelicals for Harris), Rev. Dr. Starsky Wilson (Children’s Defense Fund), Dr. Jacquelyn Dupont-Walker (AME Church) and so many more...........

Getting Back to Serving Humanity - When the Brahmins of Boston and Concord declared Christianity unfit for human consumption, well over a century ago in New England, they remade mankind into creatures of innate goodness and light, believing that — as Ben Franklin had put it — people could live anywhere there is freedom...........The progress of myopic globalists to “make the world better” is revealed in today’s pathologic mess the world is in.....The core of faithful Christians is not small, it is true, but they have yet to face down liberals, progressives, and pastors who seek enlightenment in their crania instead of in the One who gave them their brains and faculties. Such astounding waste of human energy and show of arrogance has led too many to forget that Judeo-Christianity made possible a civilization with no equal in benefit to humanity...............

"The More Things Change, The More They Stay the Same"

By Rich Kozlovich

On January January 16 Steve Karp, M.D. published this piece Et Tu, Medicus describing the corrupt infighting and backstabbing that goes on in medicine....regularly....  from med school and into practice!

He went on to explain how students would blacken out material in library books needed for courses so others couldn't access that information. Students would remove organs from cadavers so other students couldn't complete their work, giving them "a leg up".  Nurses would deliberately slow walk medical orders because they didn't like the doctor, and doctors would give other doctors negative peer reviews in order to eliminate competition.

I will say this mentality is standard in every profession there is. I was a 40 year veteran of the pest control industry and for 30 of those years I owned my own company and was heavily involved in my industry's affairs, and I had the privilege of serving with some extraordinary people.

However, I can honestly say I found it mind boggling the level of invertebracy and intellectual corruption so many "leaders" displayed siding with environmentalists and their catspaws at the EPA against their own best interests, the interests of our industry, and the nation, and I include the manufacturers as well. Those actions created the bed bug plague that infested America for years.

I would like to say this is unique to our time, but I'm also a history buff, so I know better.  I recently read the March of Folly by Barbara W. Tuchman (1984) describing the decisions made by leaders, both secular and religious, that were obviously detrimental to their organizations and/or cultures.  What you find is a pattern of self serving corruption is what's behind those decisions, and nothing's changed.

When we become old we have the tendency to review the history or our lives and the history of our culture, and as a result you can't help to see so much has changed, and so much has been lost and forgotten.   Through the centuries there's been so much suffering, pain, blood, and death, and you have to wonder why, and for what?

  • We look at the past with longing.
  • We see what's unfolding before us and find the present is confusing.
  • Because we can't see a clear path the future frightens us.

We're caught in between what was, is, and will be, hoping for one last courageous moment where someone with stand up and say you're all wrong, you're going in the wrong direction, and I'm going to tell you why.  Hoping all will choose something better, something that will make a positive difference for humanity.

But even if there is a moment in time where courageous people take a stand and institute great changes for the better it never lasts.  The selfish, the corrupt, the envious, the greedy are always with us, and they soon befoul every pure thing that exists, as a result humanity has been washed back and forth like waves crashing against the rocky shores by the tides of change, ideology, hate, greed, and envy.

As I watch these nitwit talking heads playing "gotcha" interviews on television, or Senators, and Congressmen being obnoxious questioning nominees for some position or other, I've often thought about an exchange between Lady Astor of England who told Winston Churchill he was disgustingly drunk, and he probably was, but Churchill being Churchill replied:

“My dear, you are ugly, and what’s more, you are disgustingly ugly.  But tomorrow I shall be sober, and you will still be disgustingly ugly.”

I would like to see responses of a similar nature to the stupid people in the media and politics, playing "gotcha" instead of challenging positions based on facts and logic in an honest effort to find truth.

Culture is king, and the battle to control national cultures has been eternal, and now with globalism being a driving force, the efforts to control world culture is unending. It will never stop because the corrupt, selfish, greedy, cruel, and evil people in society will always be there, and they will always be everywhere so many times hiding who and what they are until they can achieve their evil goals.

We're heading into a period of turbulence with a new President who really wants to fix things, reduce government and the massive impositions big government has imposed on America.  But entrenched forces of big government tyranny will not go quietly into the night.  A leader needs to be able to recognize who his allies, and who his enemies really are.

Allies will be issue oriented, if you drift too far from their paradigm they will abandon you.   Enemy allies will go back and forth depending on how the issue affects them. They cannot be trusted at all since their motives are totally self-serving.   Enemies will stand against you no matter what. It doesn’t matter what you do to them or for them as they will do everything in their power to crush you. Their hate may be silent, but it is very real and insidious.

We're seeing this play out right now with Trump's nominees, some of whom I have serious misgivings about, especially RFK Jr.  The next two years leading up to the midterm elections will be more than interesting as this will be a major battle to control the national culture, especially interesting since the corrupt Pravda media is on it's death bed, and an alternative media is now ascendant, perhaps truth will also become ascendant.

Here's What I Believe, What I Don't Believe, and The Fix

By Rich Kozlovich

Editor's Note: I originally ran this on May 19, 2022, with a couple of comments worth viewing. For some reason it's been hit a lot in the last 48 hours, and as I re-read it I thought, given what's going on, this needed to be republished with some updates. Enjoy! RK

The insanity I've seen displayed over the last sixty years years has been mind boggling. I wish I could have said things have improved.  While we have great technology and advancement, plenty of food, at least until now, good medical care, until now, and longer lives, we have to consider what's happening to the American culture.  Conclusion?  It hasn't improved.  I wish was completely wrong.  I'm not!

Here are the things I believe.

I believe the left hates Trump even when he does things they like, just like they hated Nixon, who promulgated more far left policies that impact our culture and economy than most 20th century presidents, including the EPA, OSHA and more, much more.  And they hated him.  Why?  Because he was an anti-communist, and that's what tells the tale about who the left really is.

The mental gymnastics leftists and RINO's must go though to criticize Trump, and conservatives, has been remarkable.  The media's irrational rantings have been so outrageous you can't help but laugh.  The lies, misdirection, logical fallacies Democrats spew out about conservatives is so obviously false I wonder how their mind became so twisted.  Whether they believe what they're saying it or not.

I can honestly say I didn't like Trump yesterday, I don't like him today nor will I like him tomorrow, as a person.  When I say that to my conservative friends they respond:  Who does?  But we all agree, he's a leader!  And as President of the United States, I believe he may possibly be one of the greatest Presidents this nation has ever had, even with a split Presidency.

I believe the RINO's and Neo-Cons hate Trump because he wants to dismantle a system that's made they and their friends powerful and wealthy.  In that regard, the left and the RINO/Neo-Cons, are in harmony and explains why they've been so cozy hoping to even now destroy Trump in order to keep him from running for President again.

This has exposed the RINO/Neo-Cons, like Liz Chaney and others, for who and what they are.   That will help define who and what the Republican party is and will be.  They're the reason the Republican party has been consistently called, and acted like, the Stupid Party.

Here's what defines a Republican as a RINO.
  1. They are totally out of touch with their base.  A base that subscribe to traditional American Judaic/Christian values.
  2. They're actually more in harmony with the Democrat left.
  3. They have no sense of loyalty or justice and are totally self-serving.
  4. They take actions that are clearly detrimental to the nation for political or financial gain.
There's a lot of talk about draining the swamp and fixing the Deep State, but that would take a lot more than rolling back a few liberal left wing initiatives.  It requires an entire restructuring of the liberal/leftist/progressive vision and central power governing structure, and the initiatives they've insidiously imposed on the nation through regulations, spending and taxes. That can't be done without restructuring government by eliminating whole departments of the federal government.

To fix it you must shrink it, and that must be done on a massive scale, and that includes eliminating the Departments of Labor, Energy, Education, Commerce, Health and Human Services, Housing and Urban Development and Transportation.  Combine Home Land Security and Veterans Departments with the Department of Defense.  Combine Agriculture and Interior.   Remember, the Post Office once was a Department, and now it's not, and it should be joined by those I've listed here, and that includes the frighteningly large number of agencies that work for those departments.

Let's take the Department of Agriculture which is a massive and expensive self serving boondoggle.  A vast bureaucracy with a budget of some $130 billion.  That's larger than the farmer's net income.  It redistributes funds according to formulas created decades ago and is a massive hog trough of federal funding.
  • $20 billion in various crop “supports” to the nation’s wealthiest farmers
  • $5 billion in ethanol subsidies
  • Grants that amount to welfare to the wealthy, and food stamps to the poor.

While the department does good things that need to be retained we have to recognize their real mission!  Mostly to provide cash to political constituents.  It needs purged. As it is now:

  • Too many "Americans" think government is the answer and not the problem.
  • Too many Americans don't think they're Americans.
  • Too many Americans hate America.
  • Too many Americans are remarkably ignorant of American history.
  • Too many Americans fail to realize how unique American style republican democracy is in all of world history.
  • Too many Americans graduate from school semi-illiterate, and amazingly ignorant.
  • Too many Americans graduate from college filled with false information and assumptions about how the world works, or should work, and are arrogant in their ignorance.
  • Too many Americans no longer are people of faith, and as a result have no moral foundation other than the latest philosophical flavor of the day, and that's a foundation of shifting sand.
Is it any wonder society is being washed back and forth like waves crashing against the rocks to its destruction?

Here's what I don't believe:
  • I don’t believe Social Security will there for my children and it may not be there for me for much longer. Social Security was supposed to stop being self-funding by 2020 and bankrupt by 2030, and it will go bankrupt with the federal government owing the Social Security fund trillions of dollars they borrowed with non-redeemable bonds.  (Here's the  Summary of the 2021 Annual Reports, Social Security and Medicare Boards of Trustees)
  • I don't believe our children and grandchildren will have a better life than we did.
  • I don’t believe Medicare and Medicaid can survive the decade.
  • I don’t believe crony capitalism will be less but more – especially since this pattern goes back to the Whiskey Act of 1791.
  • I don’t believe those who left California because they made a mess of it won’t attempt to make a mess of the states they moved to. Currently residents of Democrat run states are fleeing in droves to Republican run states, but they're probably going to take the ideas that destroyed the states they're leaving and vote for them in the states they're moving to.
  • I don't believe spending billions will end poverty.  Colorado is a perfect example.
  • I don't believe spending billions will fix homelessness.  California spent billions to fix homelessness and it only dropped one percent.  Even if those billions amounted to only "two billion that would come to 1.3 million to get one person off the street".
  • I don't believe you can convince liberals their leftist philosophy has been the most irrational, misanthropic and morally defective belief system in all of world history.  In spite of the most recent and ongoing human disaster leftists imposed on Venezuela.  Millennials all want us to still "Feel the Bern."
  • I don’t believe the national debt can be paid unless the government sells its assets - which amounts to 150 trillion dollars – and they won’t.
  • I don't believe diversity and multiculturalism, is anything more than a leftist scheme to undermine and destroy the American identity, the American culture, the American economy and overturn the U.S. Constitution.   Diversity without accomplishment is incompetence without consequence.
  • I don't believe the world's economy is stable.  The unending amount of debt the world's nations has accumulated, and continues to accumulate, is going to cause a worldwide economic depression.
  • I don't believe the EU can survive to 2025, but certainly by 2030.
  • I don't believe Europeans can tolerate the Muslim invasion much longer without civil war breaking out all over Europe if Europe wishes to be European.
  • I don't believe the Middle East or anywhere in the world that's dominated by Islam is fixable.
  • I don't believe Russia or China can withstand an international economic down turn, let alone a collapse.
  • I don't believe a nation that abandoned the moral foundations that made them great can survive.
  • I don't believe large corporations are concerned about anything except the next quarterly report, and in no way will they support anything considered conservative, in their views, their actions or their philosophy, even if it impacts their profit margins.
  • I don't believe any of the problems listed above can be fixed until public education is fixed.
  • I don't believe public education can be fixed until the federal government is forced out of it.
  • I don't believe public education can be fixed unless the states follow Governor Ron DeSantis' lead and pass legislation to teach the truth about communism and all the other leftist clabber.
  • I don’t believe academia can be purged of its far left Frankfurt School aficionados unless we stop funding these universities with taxpayer dollars and student loans. They can't be fixed until they have to become self supporting "for profit" institutions.
  • I don't believe there is such a thing as man made climate change.
  • I don't believe green activists aren't anything but dishonest, irrational, misanthropic and morally defective misfits.
  • I don't believe spending can be brought under control without repealing the 16th Amendment.
  • I don't believe you can reduce corruption in government without repealing the 17th Amendment.
  • I don't believe the federal government can be fixed without passing a 28th Amendment creating term and age limits for Congress, and the federal judiciary, nor do I believe the judiciary will remember it's proper role until age and term limits are imposed.
  • I don't believe government can be fixed without passage of a 29th Amendment creating sundown laws for all federal  departments, agencies, bureaus and any official agency of the federal government, and all federal laws and regulations, with the goal of reducing the size and scope of the federal government.
So what is it that I really believe?  I believe leftism is like rust.  It never sleeps.

Amy Wax Is the Rock in the Current!

Heterodoxy isn't for the faint of heart

By Rich Kozlovich / Tags:

For years I've stated the two groups mostly considered to be leaders are Ph.D.'s and military officers.  But the fact is both got to the top by being part of the go along to get along crowd, and to the vast majority of them rowing against the tide, or being a rock in the current is totally alien to their thinking, or their character.  But there are exceptions, and they pay a price.  I've added her to the John Boyd Legion of Honor.

In 2019 I posted a link to this article, In Defense of Penn Law Professor Amy Wax, and to my surprise I got thousands of hits on this piece, saying:

The hard left doesn’t want to nominate another white male for president in 2020, or in the words of Politico, “a candidate that looks like Bernie or Joe.” In fact, according to most liberals, police departments would be better off with more nonwhites and fewer whites, as would fire departmentsschool districtssmall businessesHollywood,Major League BaseballU.S. Congress, and the Philadelphia Orchestra, to name a few places.

Whether this is ultimately true is debatable. What’s not is the fact that it’s perfectly okay to call for more diversity in America -- to publicly state things would be better off with more nonwhites and less whites.

Then back in 2022 this article appeared, Edunomics, which I thought was a great article with a really dumb title, discussing how academia has been totally corrupted with leftist dogma totally destroying free speech.  Amy Wax is at the heart of that discussion saying:

The law school currently has her under review with the hope, it would appear, of taking away her tenure and then her job. Why is this occurring? Dr. Wax is doing what lawyers are taught to do: ask simple but hard questions, relying on facts that result in hard truths and more difficult questions. Dr. Wax has had the audacity to ask if bourgeois culture, which includes hard work, studiousness, delayed gratification, work, marriage, and having children in, rather than out of wedlock might be a good thing.

She has questioned if it is problematic that most black students in the Penn law school are at the bottom of their classes. She has had the nerve to suggest that some cultures might be superior to others. For asking these impertinent questions, the dean of the law school has her under review.  Apparently, the principle of freedom of expression at Penn is good for me but not for thee. Wax has apparently crossed a “line,” transgressed “appropriate expression,” is a “racist” and a “white supremacist,” and she has yet to receive a “comprehensive and complete statement of all the charges lodged against her.” One can only describe the situation as Kafkaesque.

I published that piece and tagged these articles thinking her plight wouldn't be much of an issue down the road.  That was a serious error in judgement, and since I had so many hits on the first piece, I should have known better!

Here we are again, The Amy Wax Inflection Point for 'Elite' Higher Education, saying:

Higher education has been a cesspool of anti-Americanism, censorious leftism and cultural radicalism for longer than I have been alive. The moral rot is, and always has been, particularly acute at Ivy League or otherwise putatively "elite" institutions. The pro-Hamas "protests" that have rocked university campuses since Oct. 7 are indicative.....

......there was the triumvirate of "elite" university presidents who testified before Congress last December that the permissibility of campus calls for the genocide of the Jewish people "depends on the context."......But perhaps the single biggest disgrace to rock academia in recent years has been the University of Pennsylvania's years long crusade against its own tenured law professor, Amy Wax.

It appears it's perfectly acceptable to promote the genocide of Jews in Academia, but to declare mass immigration and multiculturalism is destructive to America and state factually that "black students rarely finish in the top half of graduating law school classes" is totally unacceptable.  Facts and history are anathema to leftists.

When you consider that in one New York university it's been claimed about 90% of the student freshmen needed remedial reading classes, it's clear questions need to be raised.   How does someone graduate from high school and be incapable of reading?  That alone justifies questioning a lot about what's going on in education in America, including academia, and make no mistake, culture is king, and if that's true, and it was when Herodotus said it 2500 years ago, and it's still true today, then the culture that molded these kid's performance, activity, and attitude, must also be brought into question.

There's one thing abundantly clear, America's schools are failing to teach students fundamental skills.  They can't read, they can't write, they can't work basic math.  Then it must also be clear no matter how much money we're told to keep throwing at the teachers - teachers are failing to do their jobs.  Ergo-----they're overpaid, underworked and need to be fired, starting at the administration level!   If kids never learn to read why in the world would we think they're learning how to think? The socialist goal of making sure the apple falls as far away from the tree as possible is now a leftist success story - students are now too stupid to resist any stupidity the leftists promote.

In Chicago teachers are being told to pass migrant children irrespective of their performance.  That's an outrageous abuse of these children.  If they can't do the basics how are they be expected to succeed in society?  Turn to crime?  That's not a long term success story.

Here's what's acceptable to this corrupt cabal of so-called educators these days:

  • Democrats are intentionally dumbing down the kids - For decades, most of the media and other Democrats have lied to the public, insisting that they, and not Republicans, care about our children… but their actions and policies show that this propaganda is clearly not true. They only care about money and power, a fact clearly seen when you look at the results in the public education sector. According to a report from US News, the Los Angeles school district spends over $18,000 per student; yet after thirteen years of schooling, only 46% of high school students could read at grade level, and a measly 18% were at grade level in math......
  • Arizona State University prof claims current abortion policies could lead to forced breeding camps and cannibalism - Arizona State University professor of English Jennifer Irish recently used a school workshop called “A Speculative Future for Reproductive Rights” to express her concern that the country’s current abortion policies could somehow lead to “forced breeding camps” and “cannibalism,” according to a story in The College Fix.  Our abortion policies will lead to cannibalism?! WTH?! Ms. Irish, is it not enough to kill your kids, do you want to eat them, too? English professor Irish, (not to be confused with Irish professor English) stated: “So much of our reality points toward those futures.” Say again. Like what, precisely?......
  •  Major Medical School Claims Timeliness, Individualism, And Professionalism Are Part Of White Supremacy  Radical leftism is a disease that, if left unchecked, will destroy our medical system.   Imagine a medical school that believes being on time, acting professionally, and displaying individualism is a display of white supremacy. Duke Medical School claims it is "White supremacy culture" to expect people of color to be on time in a strategic plan for creating an "Anti-Racist Workforce.".....
  • The Double Standard on Campus Speech -  After weeks in which college students at campuses from Columbia to Harvard to UCLA celebrated murders and rapes, waved the flags of Islamic terrorist organizations and assaulted Jewish people, one student has finally been held accountable........While no amount of calls for the destruction of America or assaults on Jewish students led to any outrage in the media or actual consequences.....Knocking a Jewish female UCLA student unconscious didn’t do it. Barring Jewish students from being able to go to their classes didn’t do it. Assaulting staff members and faculty at universities didn’t do it. But call a fat black female activist Lizzo” and it’s an instant nationwide outrage.......

But for Amy Wax who calls into "question the academic ability of Black students" question the culture they represent, and invite Jared Taylor to speak in her classroom, who is being classified as a "white supremacist" saying, .... the country would be better off with fewer Asians and less Asian immigration, is unacceptable, and she must be punished.

Whether you agree with his views or not, that's not the issue.  If academia can spew out all kinds of vile speech about Jews, whites, Christians, and traditional values in America, why should this be prohibited?  Why should she be punished and none of these other academics vile views be found acceptable?  Well, it's simple.  Statistics are racist, and so for "two and a half years, a period spanning successive Penn Law deanships, Wax has been subject to a probe into her alleged wrongthink and misdeeds.", which as "made Penn a pariah among academic freedom advocates."

The judgment finally came this week: Penn Law suspended Wax for a year, reduced her pay for that year by 50%, permanently stripped her of her endowed chair and summer pay, and publicly reprimanded her. Interestingly.......Penn Law had previously offered Wax a settlement that would have lessened her penalty on the condition that she not "disparage the University," not sue Penn and not publicly disclose the exculpatory evidence she had presented during the years long probe. Translation: Shut your mouth and this problem will go away quickly.

One thing is clear, Amy Wax is one tough cookie, and I've no doubt there will be an lawsuit in the near future, and I've no doubt she will win, and there will be another article about this here in P&D.

Update 11:15 AM:  This College Just Got an Anonymous $100 Million for Defending Free Speech. - A whopping $100 million donation from an anonymous benefactor found its way into the coffers of the University of Chicago this week, intended to help the university bolster free speech on campus following a case in which a student claims an academic tried to get him expelled over controversial remarks..........The gift comes after a high-profile case involving student Daniel Schmidt, who stated last year that a professor at the University of Chicago was trying to get him expelled for highlighting an anti-white class called “the problem of whiteness.” The professor claimed the student, who has tens of thousands of social media followers, was bullying her. Earlier this week, the president of the university said Schmidt was free to talk about controversial topics like race and IQ, as Schmidt has previously claimed low IQs are the reason  "black people are murdering and mugging my classmates."
