P&D and the Week That Was

Truth is the Sublime Convergence of History and Reality

De Omnibus Dubitandum, (Everything is to be questioned!)

This Link will take you to My Commentaries.

By Rich Kozlovich

Back in June of 2024, there was a lot concern that if Trump was re-elected, a lot of DOJ and  FBI folks feared they'd end up in jail.  Well, the evidence is mounting that justified those fears.

James Comey has been all over the leftist media making his threat to have trump killed out to be a big joke, and they all just have a good time chucking and looking down their self righteous noses at Trump.  Well, the fact is, Comey is considered by a lot of people, including me, to be an unindicted criminal.  But that might soon change.    There's been an explosion over at the FBI.  It turns out they've discovered a secret evidence room that's:

"..........filled with bags of mishandled and concealed evidence has been discovered deep within the FBI, and it all traces back to the tenure of former FBI Director James Comey.".......... "His secret stash of untold horrors is about to be exposed, and it’s ugly"....."Wait 'til you read this stuff that’s coming out, You’re going to be stunned” “This isn’t just a filing error or a bureaucratic oversight,” Bongino declared. “We found bags of evidence, intentionally stashed and kept away from the public eye, the courts, and even internal investigations.”.............“This wasn’t incompetence...this was intentional”

All this information is classified and will have to go through the declassification process, and that will take weeks but according to Bongino:

“Once we’re able to release what we’ve found,” “the American people are going to have questions, big questions, about who was running the show, what was being hidden, and why.” "Legal experts are already weighing in on what could be an explosive development. If the materials reveal criminal misconduct or obstruction of justice, charges could potentially be filed, even against a former FBI director."

The FBI has been out of control going "full banana republic", and doing so for years, much of that pointing back to Obama and Eric Holder, but the Biden administration took it to a higher level of corruption, and the purge isn't happening fast enough.  The Obama cabal absolutely politicized all the intelligence agencies, including the FBI.

  3. FBI raids home of mom who protested school board - An FBI SWAT team raided the home of an activist mother of four in Colorado on Tuesday, Nov. 16, knocking down her door, bursting into the house with guns and handcuffing her while she was homeschooling her children......

Who's more dangerous to the Republic?  The Russians, the Chinese, or perhaps it's America's intelligence agencies in Washington?  These are the same people who branded half of the population of America as domestic terrorists, especially those Catholics who want a return to Latin mass.  You can see how dangerous that is to America ..... right?

  1. As Monica Showalter reported in April of 2023, the FBI was infiltrating Catholic Churches, investigating “Radical Traditional Catholics.” What made them radical, a threat worthy of the time and energy of the FBI? They like the Latin Mass. No doubt a distinction ferreted out by “experts.” FBI Director Christoper Wray professed shock—it was only one field office—and promised the investigation was shut down, until he had to admit it was several field offices, and maybe it really wasn’t so shut down after all......

  3. Biden Govt Used J6 & Mar-a-Lago Raid To Justify MORE Spying on Political Opponents
  4. Rogue FBI Agents Are “Opting Out” of Deportation Raids, Leaving ICE “Stranded”

There's been all this talk about how bad the conditions are at the J. Edgar Hoover FBI's headquarters building, and want a new building, and at some point they're going to get it, but in the meanwhile Trump is lessening that need by transferring a whole lot of the FBI headquarters staff all over the country.

There was, at least in my opinion, more than enough evidence to justify forming a massive all encompassing RICO investigation dealing with the FBI, CIA, NSA, appointed officials of the federal government, and elected members of Congress.  If this "secret evidence" turns into a nuclear explosion of criminal behavior, I don't see how that can be avoided.

Then we have the third American rebellion from the federal judiciary, with the latest, which Trump won on appeal:

Three Judges Blocking Trump’s Tariffs Have Decades-Long Histories of Democrat Activism -The judges on the U.S. Court of International Trade who ruled that President Donald Trump’s “Liberation Day” tariffs are illegal have a history of Democrat Party activism. Each of the members of the three-judge panel issuing the Wednesday ruling – which was stayed Thursday by an appeals court, allowing the tariffs to continue – fit the profile of other activists judges who continued their political activism after joining the court...Notably, Reif never registered for the selective service, according to his questionnaire. .....

The history of these judges demonstrates they're nothing more than political hacks, and I looked it up, it turns out failing to register with the Selective Service is a crime in the United States:

"a felony punishable by fines and/or imprisonment, according to the Selective Service System. Specifically, failure to register with Selective Service is a violation of the Military Selective Service Act, and conviction can result in up to five years in prison and/or a fine of up to $250,000."

By his own written admission he's committed a crime.  Why hasn't be been arrested?  After all, no one is above the law.

Then there's  Wisconsin Activist Judge Hannah Dugan Claims ‘Absolute Immunity’ Against ‘Ugly’ DOJ Charges.  She's doubling down on here "immunity" defense, claiming what she did was among her offical acts, and this "indictment violates both constitutional protections and judicial independence...... and .....her legal team also invoked the Tenth Amendment and the constitutional separation of powers".

Amazing how they can fall in love with the Constitution when it suits them.  But to me, this is the sound of desperation.  We're expected to believe hiding and deliberately helping a criminals to escape arrest from federal law enforcement officials is now falls under the category of official  duties for the judiciary?   Even in Wisconsin that's nuts.  And once again, her defense condemns her, since she's in effect saying she did exactly what the prosecutors said she did.

As for global warming, as an 40 year veteran of the structural pest control industry I pay attention to weather patterns because the weather impacts our profitability, and I have to say, this must be the coldest spring I've seen here in Northern Ohio in all those 4o years, and reminds me of English weather.

I watch the English gardens shows, the Brits are nuts over gardens, and as a result, this English weather has been great for my plants, my ferns are taller than ever, and I keep expanding my flower gardens.  This year I have a new shade garden, a new border garden, and reworked my front garden, and will expand that this year as I've ordered some new plants, including a tricolor butterfly plant, four of them actually.  As for my veggies....not so much... they love heat.

These last couple of weeks I haven't really been able to get my head into things, and today, I only have five offerings.  Weak ones at that in my view, and they were a struggle.  However, there are thirty really good pieces by seventeen authors you should find compelling.

Spring is here, have a great weekend, and always remember warm memories never wear out their welcome in our lives.  Extend yourself, reach out to others, especially your family, and create as many warm memories as you can.

Best wishes to all those of good heart.

America's “Fifth Column”

By Rich Kozlovich

In 1936 Emilio Mola, a Nationalist general during the 1936-39 Spanish Civil war referred to a fifth column at his disposal when it was clear there were only four columns of troops marching on Madrid.  What did it mean?  These were supporters who would undermine the enemy from within the city.  A population who had loyalties they hid from the group.  Individuals who supported efforts against the group they claimed to be a part of.  We would probably call them terrorists today, but most certainly traitors.

Until Trump was elected, and SCOTUS overturned Chevron with the Loper Bright decision, it became the duty of society to obediently ignore obvious, ignore what they could see going on before them, and provable realities.  Inculcated deep within the collective psyche of America we were expected to accepting every bit of horsepucky which the so-called experts, the media, leftist politicians, consultants, activists, and academicians heaped upon us.

Now it's our duty and responsibility to stand up against things which are unproven or improvable.   To end support of things that are not true, while having the courage to stand up for those things which are true.

Academia is constant groveling before that “sacred cow”, known as government grant money, which has corrupted the universities, and we now know the media has been funded by the bureaucrats to support their continued tyranny over America.

Think about this.  What if the only grant money available was for the purpose of proving there was no such thing as anthropogenic climate change?  I'll tell you what would happen, there'd be a dramatic shift in gears and the information coming out of these self same universities would change overnight.  On August 4th, 2006 an article appeared in the Wall Street Journal by Shirley S. Wang, reporting on a study that researched the potential of bias in science when it is tied to funding.  The finding?

“Studies show that even small gifts create feelings of obligation, and that those feelings can influence subsequent decisions, so why do many researchers feel they're immune to conflicts of interest?” “Just as we fool ourselves into thinking we're more ethical, kind and generous than we are, so scientists can be blind to the very real possibility that their work is inappropriately influenced by financial ties. These psychological processes usually operate so subtly that people aren't aware that such ties can bias their judgment.”

Based on the tone of her article she was attacking the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, and her points were well made.  However, what about research that is tied to a regulatory agency such as EPA?  Are these researchers any less affected by this same kind of bias?

The activists have no problem finding problems to whine about.  That's easy, especially when these problems are usually speculative.  You know the kind I am talking about.  So much of their whining is filled with Weasel-words and Phrases.

This could happen or that could happen or maybe something could possibly cause something, someday, somewhere by someone doing anything or something or maybe no one doing nothing or anything anywhere.

Wow, get your mind around that!  Whining about speculative problems is one thing, fixing real problems is another.  We must remember that every action triggers the law of unintended consequences.  Some consequences are positive and some are negative.  Sometimes both.

What happens when the fixes they impose on society leads to unintended negative or even vile consequences?  Usually people die.  Yet they go on their merry way as if this is normal or worse yet, acceptable.  DDT is a case in point.  Tens of millions have died unnecessarily over the last 52 years since the ban on DDT and yet they still fight to maintain this ban.  These are adherents of a neo-pagan secular religion.  "Ecotheologians, demanding 'death' on a crowded planet."

“Fifth Columnists” are heroes when they win.  If they lose, they are traitors, either way they undermine society and civilization while proclaiming to the world they are bringing enlightenment, promising utopia, but consistently delivering dystopia.

We need to start shedding ourselves of these so-called in the media, academia, scientific advisors, government consultants, and bureaucrats, who don’t know whose side they are on.  Then again, maybe these “Fifth Columnists” really do know what side they’re on, and it's not the side of humanity.

P&D and The Week That Was

Truth is the Sublime Convergence of History and Reality

De Omnibus Dubitandum, (Everything is to be questioned!)

This Link will take you to My Commentaries.

There are approximately 2.2 million federal civilian employees.  The average cost of a federal employee, including salary and benefits, is around $143,643.  How much money is that in salaries and benefits every year? $316,014,600,000.

Recently it was reported Trump said 1 million federal workers ‘could be fired.’  That's a minimum savings of $172, 371,600,000.  That doesn't count all the other expenses involving employees, such as buildings and the cost of maintaining them.  That's a lot of money, but when you compare saving a hundred and seventy five billion and more dollars to the nation's debt of almost 37 trillion dollars, that's chump change.  But if that's the pattern that plays out in everything they do, then we're talking real money.   I'm convinced by the end of Trump's first year in office, his DOGE team and the generals he's appointed to be heads of these government bureaucracies, are capable of eliminating a trillion dollars in spending.

I've told this story before, but I think it's  worth repeating.  Some years ago my friend Jay Lehr, who attended Princeton and met Einstein, said when Einstein first came to Princeton he gave seven lectures.  He said the first few were so packed you couldn't beg, steal, borrow, or buy a seat.  By the end of the series there were a lot of empty seats.  I was surprised and I asked him why.  He said Einstein was lecturing some of the smartest people in the world, and they didn't have a clue what he was talking about.  You can only image how that effected their egos.  They didn't dare suggest Einstein didn't know what he was talking about since he was considered the most brilliant man alive.

Well, I will be the first to acknowledge I'm far more clueless about physics than those sitting in that lecture hall.  But by just watching from the back row there's one thing I've gleaned.  Much about physics is based on a lot of "maybes".  Maybes that can't be proven via the scientific method of observation, experimentation, and analysis.   They can observe, and they can analyze, but how do they experiment?  Take black holes for example, how do you experiment with a black hole?  Now, all of a sudden everything they "knew" about black hole astronomy might be wrong.  As I see it, it's all guess work, and they don't have a clue either, yet they're absolutely positive ..... again.

Truth be told I find it all interesting and fascinating, and I always have, but in the final analysis, I really don't care.  I consider this to be academic welfare, like so much of what academia does, much of which should not be funded by the government since there's not one iota of practical value in so much of what they do.  If that makes me a neanderthal, I can live with it.

Fani Willis, of Georgia prosecutor who played the bully role in her attempt to "get Trump" is now crying that Jim Jordan is bullying her.  Imagine that, and doing so in violation of his oath of office.  What? Investigating a known corrupt prosecutor is a violation of his oath?  Really? Why?  Because it's black history month, and he should be celebrating that instead of "bullying" her!  It seems her deck of race cards has no limit.

The FBI is heading into a maelstrom from which many will not return.  If this true, and I'm betting it is, the "new" FBI has launched an investigation into James Comey, and it's being reported the FBI is destroying evidence including the files on the JFK assassination.

This is the crack national law enforcement agency that raided the home of a mom of four children,  who protested at a school board meeting resulting in an invasion of her home by a FBI SWAT team, knocking down her door, bursting into the house with guns and handcuffing her while she was homeschooling her children.

The FBI is broken, and it's not just a matter of bad leadership; it's the system itself.  And guess what?  A lot of these miscreants are worried they're going to be thrown in jail, and they have good reason to be worried.  Remember.... no one is above the law.  Their only recourse?  Destroy the evidence!

I really like being right, and this is one time I wished I wasn't.  The covid shots were not vaccines, not only did they not prevent infections, they weren't designed to do so, and that was right from the mouth of Deborah Birx, who designed their vaccination policy.  A person who needs to be charged with crimes against humanity, or at the very least depraved indifference, right along with Fauci.  Only Fauci has been given a pardon, Brix hasn't.  Fauci isn't immune to  non-federal criminal charges, or civil actions against him.

 ;

We're seeing a lot of kickback from Democrats over DOGE and all they're exposing, and there's a reason why.   Here's one example,  Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse Backed Legislation That Funneled Millions to His Wife’s Nonprofit.  They're in on the take, and feeding at the government's trough is addictive.  And ya just gotta love pencil neck Schiff.  He knows there are millions of Americans who are downright ashamed of Trump.   And he's right, they're called nitwits, halfwits, dipsticks, and misfits, all of which are Democrats and RINO's.   And we should care why?

Think about this.  Someone recently pointed out: "There are 18 intelligence agencies, and somehow they had no idea that Hamas was going to attack Israel or that Syria was going to collapse. What were they doing? I would say that is a lot of duplicative waste."  Well, it appears we now know a lot about what some of them were doing.  Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard fires 100 perverts spewing out their drooling on government computers and time.

And this is at the nation's most top secret agency, the NSA, involving the CIA and others.  The questions that now need answering is how did this happen, who in leadership knew about this, when did they know it and is it likely to happen again? Since all these people are being fired, I think I can say, not in the near future, and now, not in the military.

As for how this happened, and it happened like a things from the left, "a slow march through the institutions", as this article There’s a Trans Cult Inside the NSA, by Christopher F. Rufo explains:

An insider tells the story of the intel agency’s ideological capture..........But according to our whistleblower, these sex chats were just the tip of the iceberg. This longtime NSA insider tells me that the ideological capture of the NSA began a decade ago. Trans activists have entrenched themselves in positions of power, pressured employees to undergo reeducation trainings, and compromised national security in the name of ideology........

It's clear this is deeply entrenched, and it's also clear that many of those who will be thrown out of these top secret agencies may well decide to commit treason in order to get back at those who fire them.  It truly is an "iceberg" problem.

Trump has made it clear any state that doesn't end transgenderism in sports will have their funds cut off, and Maine has made it clear, they don't' care.  They're even going to punish a   GOP Congressman for opposing transgenderism, and they've even attacked a female state Senator for challenging Maine's actions claiming she's done "irreparably breaking the public trust."  The left's capability to use more words in more twisted ways is mind boggling.

As a side bar...did you get a look at their governor?   How does someone that dumb, that strange, and that ugly get elected? There's just gotta be something in the water in Maine.

Another favorite of mine is that great intellectual and moral giant,Michael Moore, with his latest rant filled with logical fallacies claiming one of these deported illegal migrant children might have cured cancer, or stopped an asteroid from hitting the planet.  But then again, maybe they wouldn't.   But if he can show us which ones would be able to do that, we'll keep them.

In the meanwhile they're criminals because they're here illegally, eating up American's tax money, overwhelming our public services, committing a lot of crimes, forming criminal organizations, and even creating groups to overthrow the United States, much of which Joe Biden can take "credit".  Other than Michael Moore and his ilk, all suffering from mental delusions, the rest of this call this blame, not credit.

Finally, I was a surprised that all of a sudden DOGE, and the President, want Fort Knox audited.  I thought... really... what's that all about?   There were two show audits in 1953 and 1974, but there's never been a real audit of the gold supply...ever.  And there's some kickback over this, why?

What really triggered this?  I'm guessing of course, but I'm kinda getting the feeling something unexpected has turned up in one of the DOGE investigations, and I think there's something going on in the background they're not divulging, and it shook them.  But, we'll see.

This week I've posted eight commentaries of my own, and twenty one by others.  I hope you find them worthy of your time.

Best wishes,

Rich

‘Six ways from Sunday’ – the intelligence community goes to war

By Michael Bertolone  December 17, 2022

“Let me tell you, you take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you.”–Sen. Charles Schumer, January 2017

Chuck Schumer said the above quote shortly after President-elect Donald Trump criticized and mocked his “intelligence” briefers for being unprepared and for delaying a scheduled briefing on Russia for several days.

Given the FBI and CIA social media shenanigans that have recently come to light through the Twitter files that new owner Elon Musk has allowed to be released, it appears that Trump’s instincts regarding the “intelligence community” were correct.

Schumer’s statement has also proved to be prophetic, as the intelligence apparatus was clearly used in a sustained assault against both the Trump administration and the Trump reelection campaign effort. An early tell was the text messages between FBI attorney Lisa Page and FBI agent Peter Strzok, with whom she was having an extramarital affair. This exchange between the two sums up, I submit, a prevailing attitude within the Bureau:..................To Read More...

Democrats quietly send $35.8 billion bailout to cover their policy mistakes

Democrats have essentially had complete control of Illinois, with super majorities in the House and Senate, for years.

As an Illinois resident, I have the wonderful fortune of listening to Democrats brag about the financial “health” of the Illinois budget. They claim they balanced the budget and now have over $1 billion in a rainy-day fund. (For perspective, that is like a family making $100,000 having $2,000 in a savings account.)

Meanwhile, Illinois pension funds declined by nearly ten billion dollars in FY 2022.  If Illinois were a private business, that $9.8 billion would show up as a loss; there is nothing remotely balanced about the Illinois budget. According to a Chicago business report:

Illinois’s massive debt to the retirement funds was built up by years of failing to set aside enough to cover all the benefits that have been promised. It has been a major financial drag, leaving Illinois with a lower bond rating than any other US state and forcing it to pump more tax money into the system to catch up.

The president and his fellow Democrats love rewarding their political supporters with kickbacks, so they bailed out the Teamsters Union, to buy votes, with $35.8 billion because of mismanagement and over-promising for decades.

(The money came from the $1.9 trillion slush fund that was sold to the public as COVID relief.)..............To Read More....

The Ghost of Anne Gorsuch Burford

Editorial of The New York Sun | January 10, 2022

With the Supreme Court now set to hear in February a major case over the regulatory powers of the Environmental Protection Agency, some are already suggesting Justice Gorsuch might lack objectivity. The justice’s “tangled history with the EPA” is, Bloomberg reports, a “concern.” It’s a reference to the justice’s mother, Anne Gorsuch Burford, whom, as Esquire retails it, President Ronald Reagan tasked with “running the EPA into the ground.”

“Revenge is a dish best served from a lifetime gig,” write’s Esquire’s Charles Pierce. He refers to the defeat, some 40 years ago, of Burford’s heroic attempt to reform the EPA. Yet there’s no reason to doubt Justice Gorsuch’s capacity to decide objectively the dispute that is at the heart of the case before the court, West Virginia v. EPA. It asks the Nine to roll back the agency’s power to regulate smokestack emissions..........To Read More....

My Take -  In years gone by I considered myself an environmentalist, meaning having rational concern about the environment and wanted just laws governing how industry and communities conducted themselves.  After so many years reading and writing about the corruption of the EPA I realize those were dark days intellectually.  I, as was most of America, and mostly still is, were misinformed, uninformed, and thinking the EPA was a really good thing.

One of my personal friends is Dr. Jay Lehr, one of the founders of EPA and helped write their first five foundational pieces of legislation, and has said after 1980 they didn't do anything worthwhile and needed to be dismantled, and developed a five year plan on how to do it.

I read Anne Gorsuch Burford's book, "Are You Tough Enough?", and the fact is she got caught up in backstabbing cabal of Deep Staters, environmental activists, RINO's, Democrats and a corrupt media.

I remember those days and the media had everyone, including me, thinking she was corrupt, out of control, and had to go, and her supporters disappeared, and mostly because they weren't really supporters, any more than many of those who served in Trump's administration, taking the paycheck he provided and stabbing him in the back the whole time.

When Harry Truman said "If you want a friend in Washington, get a dog"!  Truer words were never spoken.
