Senators, Judges, Presidential Appointments, and Media Hyperbole

By Rich Kozlovich

I've been seeing headlines like this for two days, Urgent! The Clock Is Ticking, Boasberg Is In the Wings, warning the nation that RICO Senator Thom Tellis will not vote for Ed Martin as Trump's choice for the job as US attorney for DC.  Currently he's the "acting" AG and has had a major impact on reducing crime in DC, but Tellis, who refused to vote of Hegseth, while having happily voted for Merritt Garland, a far left nutroll that needs to be seriously investigated for his actions as Attorney General of the United States, and claims he did so because he's Trump's friend and he's covering Trumps back.  Yeah, and rain isn't wet.   He claims he's against Martin because he dared to defend the J6ers.

Is he insane?  I don't think he's insane, but I do think he has some serious corruption issues .... criminal issues.... massive felonies, similar to those Letitia James is facing over mortgage fraud.

According to all these articles there's a system in place.... via federal law or just an accepted system... I'm not sure what the basis is for all this, but it says if the Senate fails to confirm an U.S. Attorney in a district within 120 days, the judges in that federal district court can "name" one.  In this case it could potentially be far left radical James Boasberg as Chief Justice of that district.

It seems what's really incensed the leftists and their familiars, aka, RINO's like Tillis is:

Martin has been his effort to restore justice by challenging the left’s lawfare efforts, ranging from Jan. 6 to Russiagate. Martin has sought transparency and accountability regarding the railroading of J6 defendants by the Biden administration. This includes Martin’s internal review of the Biden DOJ’s use of the Enron-driven “obstruction of an official proceeding” charge to hit protesters with a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison. It also includes Martin’s firing of attorneys who arguably weaponized and politicized their offices in pursuing J6ers. Martin also appears to be probing the Justice Department’s role in Russiagate, among other threatened investigatory actions touching on regime third rails

Okay, the above linked article goes on to explain the intricacies of all this, but the fact is under the Appointments Clause of Article II of the Constitution the only person in the United States who can appoint federal officials is the President of the United States, and then can only do so if they're confirmed by the Senate, and no federal law or accepted system can overturn that.

So, this is in my opinion a lot of hyperbole that Trump can easily overcome by refusing to swear in any pick other than his own, or fire their pick, or simply ignore anything they offer and tell everyone at the Justice Department, starting with Pam Bondi, to refuse their pick access to the Justice Department in any way shape or form.  Will that cause a massive stir?  Sure.  Does anyone really thinks Trump cares?

Update: Trump pulled him as his pick.  I think that's a mistake, but I don't have 500 things on my plate daily,.....so.... I get it.   The article says something that is obvious to the most casual observer, Tillis is in trouble from here on in, and we now know Trump has nominated Judge Jeanine Pirro for that spot, and it seems to me it's really gonna get interesting now.

Who Really is Donald Trump?

By Rich Kozlovich

Me and most of my conservative friends really don't like Trump on a personal level.  But we all thought he has the ability to be one of the greatest Presidents in the nation's history, and we believe that because what we want is less government (way less government), less taxes, less spending, the end of deficits and borrowing, start paying off the national debt, less regulations, and a President who will deliver that, and he's promised to be that deliverer .... sort of ... maybe.

Well, America, we just might have a problem.

I keep wondering at the things Trump is doing and saying.  He's wanting to appoint some really strange people to important offices, like Bobby Kennedy, Jr., who is now, was in the past, and will be in the future a far left nitwit.

He was the proverbial blind monkey who found a coconut because of his stand against the "vaccines" being forced on society for covid, which weren't real vaccines, since they didn't immunize the patient and didn't prevent transmission, which before this was the decades old definition for a chemical compound to be called a vaccine.   As for covid being a disaster, the only covid disaster was the tyrannous impositions governments all over the world put on their societies, and done so with a lot of lies and propaganda.  But the reality is he's against all vaccinations, so his stand against these covid shots that wasn't a strong moral stance against what was going on standing as a rock in the current.

Kennedy, if confirmed, will have control of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Food and Drug Administration, the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and, 'Kennedy has claimed Trump “promised” him “control of the public health agencies" and Trump delusionally claims:

"Kennedy will restore these Agencies to the traditions of Gold Standard Scientific Research, and beacons of Transparency, to end the Chronic Disease epidemic, and to Make America Great and Healthy Again!"

Now that's pure delusion, and should scare the entire nation. Was this a deal Trump made to get Kennedy to support him?  If it was, it was a bad deal putting him in charge of the nation's health and how the nation grows and eats food in America?  Listen up Donny, that's nuts.

We're facing a massive nation destroying national debt, and yet I'm reading how Trump wants to do away with the debt ceiling.  Why? In his last term he did a lot of good things, but cutting spending and borrowing wasn't among them, and it appears he might not be any good at it this term either.  I'm hoping that's not so.

At this point I would like to feature this article by my now passed friend Alan Caruba, who discussed the disaster of Lyndon B. Johnson in his 2012 article Poverty Nation and Johnson's “War on Poverty” saying it was a "classic, liberal government program that to this day has not eliminated poverty in America", and goes on to show no matter how much is spent, poverty will always be with us.  That's history, and that history is incontestable.

The leftist view is that poverty can be eliminated if we just spend more money.   Well that's historically delusional, it's stupid, and it's budget busting.  In short, the amount of spending, ineffectual spending, with lousy returns is massive, and that's so throughout the federal government.  If Trump really wants it all stopped he needs to put a cap on spending and borrowing, and he needs to do it now!

But this really takes the cake. Trump wants Canada to become the 51st state, which has generated a lot of CO2 and ink, and since Trudeau has resigned he's putting on the big push, and making big promises saying:

Many people in Canada love being the 51st state.  The United States can no longer suffer the massive trade deficits and subsidies that Canada needs to stay afloat.  Justin Trudeau knew this, and resigned. If Canada merged with the U.S., there would be no tariffs, taxes would go way down, and they would be totally secure from the threat of the Russian and Chinese Ships that are constantly surrounding them. Together, what a great nation it would be!!

Russian and Chinese ships are surrounding Canada?  Really, I've not read that anywhere else, and everything else he's saying here is... well... odd at best.

Let's understand this, the conservatives of Canada are like America's RINO's only more left.  So, if Canada were to become the 51st state there would be two more leftist Senators, and an untold number of leftist House members.  If the ten provinces of Canada became separate states that would bring in 20 more leftist Senators.   The Congress would be in the hands of anti-American far left lunatics forever.  If people liked the tyranny Trudeau imposed on Canada, they would love the tyranny they, along with their Democrat allies, would be able to impose on America, starting with the end of the First and Second Amendments.

And Trump thinks that's a good idea?

Border Czar Homan: I Like His Style!

By Rich Kozlovich

Former acting ICE Director Tom Homan is giving notice, to Democrat Governors who are working to oppose the President's mass immigration plans saying:

If they're not willing to help, then get the hell out of the way because [Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)] is going to do their job.....I think the American people just gave President Trump a mandate. That's why he's elected -- to secure the border, save lives and deport people, especially national security threats and public safety threats. So if you’re not going to help us, step aside, but don't get in our way, because there will be consequences......If you're in a country illegally, you've got a problem.

He's made it clear the administration will conduct workplace immigration raids saying:

Where do we find most victims of sex trafficking and forced labor trafficking? At worksites.

Tom Homan is a man out for justice according to Susan Quinn:

From the first time I saw Tom Homan interviewed on Fox News, I was so impressed by his determination to protect the border of our country. For him, the goals were all about border security and national security, and nothing could excuse illegal migrants breaking our laws. His fervor about this invasion of our country was second only to President Trump, even in Trump’s first term, and he is resolute about deporting those people who have been allowed to cross our borders illegally, thanks to the policies of the Biden administration........... Since Trump just stated today that he will appoint Kristi Noem, governor of South Dakota, who is a stalwart supporter of border security, I foresee her working well with Holman, as will likely other Department heads.

Tom Holman has an in-depth background in border security and law enforcement...........He’s also adamant about carrying out his mission.

I like his style, and he kinda reminds me of General George S. Patton, the only really brilliant allied general in the ETO during WWII. But he was in trouble all the time, as he said exactly what was on his mind. Mostly because that's who he was, and Patton really had no political ambitions after the war, so he had no desire to curb his tongue.

After he retired he promised to expose all the idiocy, all the gutless political pandering, and all the big egos that unnecessarily killed so many allied troops, and the lousy planning of the generals during the war that caused it.  His death was the happiest day in the lives of the allied generals, and was a serious loss regarding the real history of WWII to America and the world.

But he got things done and that seems to me that's who this guy is. Tough, smart, focused, extremely competent, and could care less what anyone thinks, and is more than happy to say what he thinks and tell the leftists in government and the Pravda media to shove it.

I like his style!

Observations From the Back Row

By Rich Kozlovich

If you go to news sites you find writers will specialize in certain topics or issues.  I'm pretty much fascinated by everything, and that "everything" is huge, making it difficult to cover it all, but I try to cover as much as I can, and I'm going to alter how I do this by posting more shorter articles dealing with specific issues.  .

This week we heard the Democrat Minority Leader in the House, the hand puppet of Nancy Pelosi, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries vow to fart hard for the right to vote.   Okay, so that must mean the Democrats are going to continue stinking up the place?  Right? They're all part of the Carter legacy, which Jimmy's grandson is so proud of claiming his grandfather's legacy will live on, and I agree.  And here's his legacy and it's not a pretty one.

Time and truth are on the same side, and a great many of these people, like Liz Chaney, who will not end up dying an unknown, unfortunately for her. She'll die being known for her lack of integrity, and will spend the rest of her life as a member of the Benedict Arnold Hall of Fame, which will follow her after she's gone, and she dragged her father into that hall of fame with her. There's something seriously wrong with that family, and her mind.   In a desperate bid for relevance, Liz blasts Donald Trump and gets blasted. No class, no brains, no integrity, and no one is listening.  None of this is going to save her against the upcoming investigation by Congress, and what has to be a totally reformed DOJ and FBI for the crimes committed by the January 6th Committee.

Blinkin admits it was their corruption, and stupidity that caused Hamas to pull back from deals, and one leftist, whose secular religion, leftism, which can only exist via voter fraud is saying Trump didn't win the popular vote, while the Democrats scheme to keep Trump from being sworn in.

Senate RINO's never can find a bottom that's too low for them to go, and entirely too often are in collusion with the left in all it's manifestations to destroy anyone Trump will nominate, and if anyone had any doubts Thune was going to abandon his RINO credentials, this should remove any and all doubt,  Thune Questions if It Is ‘Realistic’ to Deport Everybody in the Country Illegally.

With the possible exception of RFK, Jr., which shouldn't shock anyone because the left knows, he's still really is one of them!  Understand this.  Kennedy wants to be President, and he knows that's never gonna happen in the Republican party, and since its pretty clear the Democrats are leaderless and clueless, they could easily decide RFK Jr. is just the man they want, since I'm not expecting him to last even two years in the Trump administration, that will give him time for the 2028 nomination.

The covid fraud scandal is going to seriously heat up, and someone, hopefully Fauci, will end up in jail, who is probably guilty of 25 million counts of negligent criminal homicide’.

What About Pete?

By Rich Kozlovich

Pete Hegseth has been nominated as Secretary of Defense by Donald Trump, but that giant of intellectual wherewithal, Whoopie Goldberg, has declared Hegseth "clearly knows nothing about the military", and Whoopie absolutely knows all about the military because she played a bar tender on Star Trek, like OAC was a bar tender after graduating cum laude from Boston University in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in international relations and economics.  And she could only get a job as a bartender?  Odd, don't you think?

At any rate, while Whoopie wasn't a member of Star Fleet in that show, and of course it really wouldn't have matter anyway because none of that was real, but hey, let's not get picky!  Right?   After all, that's Whoopie's job to be picky, so, let's take a look and see if Whoopie knows what she's talking about.

Hegseth is 44, a combat veteran, commissioned as an officer in the Minnesota Army National Guard joining in 2002 serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

He twice earned the "Bronze Star, [he's authorized] to wear the Joint Service Commendation Medal, two Army Commendation Medals, three Army Reserve Components Achievement Medals, the National Defense Service Medal with a Bronze Service Star, an Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two campaign stars, an Iraq Campaign Medal with two campaign stars, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal with “M” Device, the Army Service Ribbon, two Overseas Service Ribbons, the D.C. National Guard Emergency Service Ribbon, a NATO Medal, a Joint Meritorious Unit Award, a Combat Infantryman Badge, and an Expert Infantryman Badge.

He retired as a major, and refers to himself as a recovering neocon now believing invading Iraq was a mistake.  He has critical insights on weapons procurement, training, DEI insanity, planning, and more.  But Whoopi says he "clearly knows nothing about the military".

She must have used the same logic when she said Jill Biden was a great doctor and should have been made Surgeon General.  Jill Biden's degree was in education, not medicine.

To be a leftist requires massive mental capacity.  Why?  To justify their irrational views, and twisted logic must require unparalleled mental gymnastics. Fortunately, they're so obviously nuts, ordinary people with ordinary mental capacity can see through it all.  But that's not a deterrent to the left.  They lie, they know they lie, we know they lie, and they know we know they lie, and the brilliant conclusion these mental giants on the left come to is since everyone knows it all a lie, it isn't really a lie after all.  Ergo, why stop lying?

Gaetz was defeated as Attorney General even before he left the gate, and the claim is he knew he was guilty of something and couldn't face the music.  He said the Justice Department investigated him and didn't charge him, and if he was guilty, he'd be in jail now.   So why did he quit?  There were five Republican Senators who absolutely said they would not vote for him, three of whom thought Merritt Garland was perfectly acceptable, all five of which need to be primaried when their time comes.

As for releasing the House Ethics Committee report on him, which are usually filled with unsubstantiated claims..... he said, she said stuff.   But, I'm all for it, provided they release all the ethics reports, which have hidden all the provable vile antics of many of those in Congress, especially in those cases where government money was used to silence their accusers.

So now they're going to go after Pete Hegseth, and Tulsi Gabbard, which in her case I have to wonder how did she made the journey across the aisle from adoring Bernie Sanders to becoming a MAGA fan.   Just a thought mind you.

Know you're friends by their enemies, and Hegseth has all the right enemies.

CNN's Van Jones Explodes Over Trump’s Defense Secretary Pick because he thinks the military needs no correction, and he's a military expert?  He's a political analyst, media personality, lawyer, author, and civil rights advocate.  Actually, that's what he's paid for, but in reality he's just another a race baiting hustler, with no military credentials or experience, so he's just doing what he does best.  The race baiting hustle,  and Lloyd Austin is no better.  And he's not alone in the military or Department of Defense, which is filled with:

.......[a] regime of left-wing four-star generals and DoD lackeys [which] has produced one of the most disastrous tenures in the Pentagon's history. We've had spy balloons flying over the entire continental United States. We had the Afghanistan withdrawal disaster, which cost the lives of 13 American servicemembers and became a stain on the nation's history. Russia invaded Europe during the last four years while China and Iran have seen a resurgence in power and influence. The Middle East is the most unstable it has been since the end of Trump's first term.

Then we have Fauxcahontas, Elisabeth Warren, "who stole a job from a legitimate minority at Harvard" declaring he would make the military unsafe.  A military which is focused on DEI insanity, climate change, and electrifying America’s military forces is going to be unsafe if Hegseth is confirmed?  Really?  There's more, and it seems likely all these panicked voices may be connected to Obama, who "has been running a shadow presidency since he left the White House in January 2017."

The Democrats/socialists/communists and DEI misfits scream he's not qualified, it's racism, white privilege, he's too young, he's a media guy.  Well, he's 44, he has excellent military experience and performance, a lot of media people have migrated into administrations in the past, and I really don't care if black race hustlers are upset he's going to fire a DEI general, and probably a lot of white ones.  After all, considering the disaster of the Afghanistan pull out, who are they to criticize anyone?   It's time to eliminate DEI in the military and demand MEI, Merit, Excellence, and Intelligence.

This brings me to the rape scandal, a vile and unending tactic by the left.  While he admits to a sexual liaison with this woman he claims it was consensual, and it was she who was the "aggressor" and there's video evidence to that, which is all confirmed in the police report.  The only crime committed here looks like is an effort at extortion by this woman.

This kind of thing no longer has the impact it did in times past.  The Establishment’s Scandal Scam Tactics Won’t Work Anymore.  The Pravda media cares little for the truth, they only care about framing an innocent man and destroying him for political purposes, and it's just not working any longer.

He has his defenders also.  Scott Jennings tore into Pentagon leadership, he called him an 'American Hero', and Bill Ackman says he will be a revolutionary leader for the military, GOP Senators Express Confidence in Hegseth’s Confirmation, and I agree.   I just hate the tattoos.

Trump Picks The Weirdness of Oz to Lead the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Listen up Donny, that's nuts!

By Rich Kozlovich

Trump picked RFK, Jr. as the the Secretary of Health and Human Services which I thought that was nuts and said so, a lot!  What I've been shocked at is the number of conservative writers, that I normally have a great deal of respect for, who've come out swinging in his favor.  Here's the reality of RFK, Jr.  He's a lunatic.  But now it's worse.  Now Trump has picked another lunatic to lead the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.  He's chosen the Weirdness of Oz.

For years I've written about and posted articles about this quack who endorses astrology, and pushes quack remedies such as eating grapefruit to cure anxiety.  He pushed a green coffee cure that was pure fiction,  and in spite of all his snake oil sales pitches he headed up a very popular TV show that was more like an old time traveling medicine show preying on gullible Americans.

Today, we may laugh at how gullible we once were. But have we really changed? Dr. Oz, who remains popular despite offering "medical" advice with little to no basis in scientific fact, is the modern-day equivalent of the traveling medicine show.

But this appointment isn't the beginning of the Trump/Oz story, that stared in 2018, where "the Trump Administration announced its plan to appoint America's Quack to the President's Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition. This is an abomination to the biomedical science community."

Dr. Oz claims he can talk to the dead, promotes Reiki healing, and homeopathy, is an anti-vaxer, and has promoted quantum healing, which is as voodoo as it comes:

Quantum healing is a pseudoscientific alternative medicine practice that claims to use quantum mechanics, psychology, philosophy, and neurophysiology to improve health and well-being. It's based on the idea that quantum phenomena, such as wave-particle duality and virtual particles, govern health.

When I read this stuff it reminds me of the claptrap about the honey bee Colony Collapse Disorder issue.  One lady insisted the reason there was a problem with honey bees was because the Devic Kingdom of bees was really unhappy with people.  She said she was in communication with them and they weren't going to return their hives until people started treating them better, and got rid of genetically modified plants.  Isn't it fortunate bees can speak English?  And according to her their solution, since they were no longer going to return to their hives any longer, was suicide.

In 2014 Senator Claire McCaskill ripped into Oz over his ineffective dietary supplements, which American Council on Science and Health's Josh Bloom explains in this Science 2.0 piece entitled “The Lizard of Oz Takes His Own Medicine.”

He started a crusade against apples with Consumer Reports claiming "that about 10 percent of the samples of apple and grape juice that they tested had levels of arsenic exceeding federal standards for drinking water."  There was a problem with that:

There's a massive difference "between between organic and inorganic arsenic"an important distinction, because organic arsenic is considered to be non-toxic. The FDA responded with a statement explaining that most of the arsenic in apple juice comes in the harmless organic form; the agency and other experts called Dr. Oz’s report “irresponsible and misleading” for creating hype and fear around a perfectly safe product…….

And as far as I am concerned that applies to all these TV doctors who can only stay on the air and make all of that lovely, lovely money by maintaining an audience. That means they have to entertain as well as inform. Part of being entertaining is being outrageous, and then they lend themselves to outrageous scare mongering.

In this article, Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain, ACSH s Dr. Josh Bloom adds:

Dr. Oz should follow the yellow brick road back to the cardiac surgery department at New York Presbyterian Hospital. At least he knows what he's talking about there. Kudos, however, to ABC News Health and Medical Editor Dr. Richard Bessor, who publicly confronted Dr. Oz about his latest claims. He compared Dr. Oz s apple juice scare to yelling fire in a movie theater, noting that there was no truth to the doctor s irresponsible allegations.

He finally went all the way over to the dark side warning “parents that the apple juice they’re giving their children may be harmful.” His show staff, crack toxicologists all I’m sure, “arranged to have several samples of store-bought apple juice tested for arsenic, and found that the arsenic levels in some brands were higher than others.”

Apparently the man from Oz decided that the level was too high and dangerous in spite of the fact that the amounts were “minuscule”. The FDA immediately refuted this piece of junk science noting that there was a difference between organic and non-organic arsenic, and organic arsenic is harmless.  Why didn’t Ole Doc Oz know this? Who knows what kind of damage he has done to the apple industry.

He presents himself as a medical scientist doesn’t he? Why was he investigating arsenic in apple juice in the first place? What events took place that caused this concern? Is there a connection between Ole Doc Oz and the insane activists that infest the green movement?

Perhaps he and his producers concluded the same thing and decided they needed him to jazz up his presentations. As I would see parts of some of his shows it became obvious to me that he was pretty much selling the same kind of junk science and scare mongering as the organics, the greenies and the all natural crowd.

I know most have no recollection of the Alar scare story, but this is the same kind of fallacious scare mongering that went on back then.   The only difference is now we have the internet with experts who can debunk these lunatics.  Now Oz went so far off base he was finally caught because he ventured into the realms of provable science, and in those realms he is lost.

Perhaps what disturbs me a bit is that those who know me best know that I am fascinated by everything. Being insatiably curious is its own reward and its own punishment. The reward is that you know the truth. The punishment is that you know the truth. My friends also know that I understand it all because I read extensively over these issues, and I read both sides, so when I finally come to a conclusion about something I am very rarely wrong. So why do they disagree with me over a whack job like Oz?  Because he’s so nice! Then again isn’t that true of all cult leaders.

What I would have really liked to have seen the nation’s apple farmers sue him for any drop in the sale of apples, whether it is for eating, for juice or any other use. Perhaps this kind of claptrap would end if this was done on a regular basis. Oprah was the one responsible for getting him on the air in the first place. Oprah was sued years ago over her comments about beef, and even though she won, she never did that again. Dr. Phil was one of the ones who helped her win this case. I have come to think he is a loon also. My wife says that I think everyone is a loon. Once again, no I don’t, it’s just that I can’t help it when there are so many loons out there and so little time to point it out.

And now Trump has chosen Herschel Walker to be in charge of missile defense.  Listen up Donny, this is nuts, what's wrong with you?  These appointments puts all your appointments in jeopardy.

Update: Is Burgum the Right Choice for Interior Secretary and Energy Czar? - his views on issues important to conservatives and his many constituents make his choice extremely questionable.......the COVID plandemic, January 6, China, zero carbon, carbon dioxide capture, and land grabs....... financed and promoted a tracking app as part of a public-private partnership between the North Dakota Department of Health and ProudCrowd.  He imposed strict masking rules, penalizing violators up to $1,000.  Restaurants were limited to 50% of capacity, bars had to close at 10 p.m., and sports and recreation at schools were suspended, though championship contests and performance events were allowed to continue.......make his choice extremely questionable.....

I find all this to be very strange, and that's being kind.  What is wrong with Trump?

We’ll Send You Home Again, Kathleen: Energy and Politics

William MurchisonFebruary 6, 2018

Republican “moderates” abandon a bullied Trump nominee.  From the Washington Post, Feb. 4, 2018: “The White House has withdrawn its controversial nominee to head the Council on Environmental Quality, Kathleen Hartnett White, whose selection failed to gather momentum with some Senate Republicans raising questions about her expertise.”

Herewith a confession: I have known Kathleen Hartnett White quite a long time now.

A second confession follows hard upon this one: I know her to be very, very smart; very, very wise; very, very honorable (as well as impressively nice); and as of this moment, a tremendous loss to government service.

Another confession, and then I’ll get to the point: I was privileged to offer her editorial advice on a book she and the Heritage Foundation’s Stephen Moore produced for Regnery. The book touted the ingenuity of the free marketplace in the solution of environmental problems such as climate change.

I lent her a hand, checking syntax and such like, because her and Moore’s analysis seemed to me, and still does, more compatible with scientific evidence and common sense than the counter-narratives of climatic despair produced by “science” and the mainstream media…………To Read More…
