No Regerts?

By Rich Kozlovich

Is stupid contagious? I'm convinced it is, and if for no other reason we've abandoned any concept of actually teaching our children how to read, write or work basic math problems, and we've abandoned traditional values. We no longer teach children how to get jobs, we're now committed to spending enormous amounts of money to turn our children into Social Warriors promoting, among other things, "return to nature, go green" lunacy.

On July 21, 2018 the Associated Press posted this article, New Mexico man who fed wildlife at his home bitten by bear, saying a "70-year-old southern New Mexico man who regularly fed wildlife at his home suffered multiple injuries when he was bitten by a bear as he stepped outside"........ "the man acknowledged feeding cracked corn to wildlife and that multiple bears routinely entered the residence."

Of course the first thing you might want to ask is - what's wrong with this guys mind? I like the comments though. "A black bear in the wild is generally quite frightened of people. But a bear that is fed by people loses that fear, and can become quite dangerous!"

Well, duh!  That of course shouldn't have had to be explained...after all....they are called "wild" for a reason! But when it comes to these green return to nature types that really doesn't matter. I'm sure he's found a "reasonable" explanation why the bear did this, and it's not the bear's fault.

It isn't like he didn't know bears were hanging around since officials "found pet food bowls near the house, bear prints on windows and scratch marks on the porch".  And scratch marks on the windows didn't bother him?  No, because he was deliberately feeding them.  Now that's stupid, and you just can't fix stupid.

I particularly like the next two comments.
  • A Darwin moment, to be sure.
  • Feeding wild bears, what could possibly go wrong?
But just like the tattoo in the commercial, I'm sure he has "no regerts".
