More on the FDA and COVID Injections

This is a fertile area for Critical Thinkers

By John Droz, Jr. @ Critically Thinking About Select Societal Issues

Many people wrote to thank me for my recent post alerting them that the new FDA is now taking comments from citizens about the COVID injections (until May 23).

As Measles Outbreak Flares, Vaccination Rates Soar and Some Come Off the Fence

Kirk Johnson

The one-day immunization clinic at David Douglas High School in Portland, Ore., was hectic on Saturday, with a wait of 45 minutes to over an hour just to see a nurse. But Cameron Wagner said that after balking this long at getting her 4-year-old son vaccinated, out of concerns about potential side effects, a few more minutes would not matter.
“I’ve talked to more doctors and have weighed the options, and decided to come in and get a shot,” said Ms. Wagner, 46, a massage therapist...........To Read More....

My Take - Where's Oprah, Jennie McCarthy, Jim Carry and all the other celebrity "medical experts" now who promoted the anti-vaccination mentality that has caused so much misery?  I still what to know who will answer for all the misery, suffering, and yes, even death that came about as a result of their insane actions.

We need to come to grips with who and what the left really really stands for, and history is the real touchstone for determining that.  The left promises utopia, but never fails to deliver dystopia.  The left is irrational, misanthropic and morally defective.  That's history!  And that history is incontestable!

Health officials see abnormal cases of measles in 2019

By SBG San Antonio Staff Reports Thursday, February 7th 2019

SAN ANTONIO - Bexar County health officials want to make sure parents know how to protect their kids now that measles cases are popping up in Texas. A local doctor said there is an abnormal number of cases this year, and he believes it's so important for children to get vaccinated.  There are six confirmed cases of measles in Texas, including four children under the age of two.

Three are in the Houston area, one in Galveston, and one more in Montgomery County. More than 50 cases have been confirmed in the Pacific Northwest. Measles are extremely contagious. Doctors said if someone has measles and walked into a room and coughed, then 10 people walk into the room, then 9 out of 10 of those people could get the measles.......To Read More....

My Take - Thank you Hollywood!  When are we going to learn just because someone becomes famous for singing or acting doesn't mean they have a clue about anything else.

Jenny McCarthy promoted the lie that vaccinations cause autism and the celebrity Club For the Galacticly Stupid jumped on board, including Oprah and Jim Carey, which they later tried to claim they were misunderstood.  Well, that was a lie also, and now we had, and continue to have, a great many parents buying into their lies, and now they're and their children are facing the consequences of that lie, including children dying.

To compound the problem we have immigrants coming across the border who are unvaccinated and spreading previously controlled diseases, exposing unvaccinated children.

When are we going to learn?

There is only one thing we need to understand about celebrities and their causes.  If their for it, it's probably wrong.  The question we really need to ask is who's going to pay for this?  And I don't mean momentarily.

Growing Up Unvaccinated

Amy Parker, Voices For Vaccinations

I am the 70s child of a health nut. I wasn’t vaccinated. I was brought up on an incredibly healthy diet: no sugar til I was one, breastfed for over a year, organic homegrown vegetables, raw milk, no MSG, no additives, no aspartame. My mother used homeopathy, aromatherapy, osteopathy, we took daily supplements of vitamin C, echinacea, cod liver oil. I had an outdoor lifestyle; I grew up next to a farm, walked everywhere, did sports and danced twice a week, drank plenty of water. I wasn’t even allowed pop; even my fresh juice was watered down to protect my teeth, and I would’ve killed for white, shop-bought bread in my lunch box once in a while and biscuits instead of fruit like all the other kids.

We only ate (organic local) meat maybe once or twice a week and my mother and father cooked everything from scratch – I have yet to taste a Findus crispy pancake and oven chips were reserved for those nights when mum and dad had friends over and we got a “treat.”

As healthy as my lifestyle seemed, I contracted measles, mumps, rubella, a type of viral meningitis, scarlatina, whooping cough, yearly tonsillitis, and chickenpox, some of which are vaccine preventable. In my twenties I got precancerous HPV and spent 6 months of my life wondering how I was going to tell my two children under the age of 7 that mummy might have cancer before it was safely removed..........To Read More....

My Take - Don't think this woman's experience is all that rare.  If you were to pool the leftists in your life you would find more who buy into the insanity this woman finally shook herself away from than is comfortable.

In Alaska, Getting Mumps Is Preferable to Getting Vaccinated

By Alex Berezow — August 23, 2018 @ American Council on Science and Health

The MMR vaccine protects against three viral diseases: measles, mumps, and rubella, hence it's name.

We have already seen the devastating consequences of people choosing to forgo vaccination. Measles cases are occurring all over the country. Most infamously, a measles outbreak occurred in 2014-15 at Disneyland, the happiest place on Earth. Currently, Europe is experiencing a massive measles outbreak, which has infected more than 41,000 people and killed 37. Amazingly, Italy has made it even easier for parents to skip out on vaccines.

A new report from the CDC indicates just how incomprehensibly stubborn and stupid our society has become.

In May 2017, somebody from out-of-state visited Anchorage, Alaska. This person brought along a little friend, known as the mumps virus. Soon after, seven more people had mumps, so the Alaska Section of Epidemiology reminded all Alaskans to be sure to be up-to-date on their MMR vaccinations.

Did they listen? Of course not. By mid-November, there were 56 cases of mumps. Once again, Alaska's public health officials told people to get vaccinated, especially if they hang around large groups of people. Specifically, they suggested the MMR3 vaccine. (MMR3 is the third dose of the MMR vaccine; typically, children receive two doses, assuming their parents aren't anti-vaxxers.)
Did their warning work? No. By the end of December, the number of cases had grown to 138, and all of Anchorage was then recommended to get the MMR3 shot. Surely, surely, people paid attention to that... right?

Wrong. By the end of February, there were 247 cases of mumps. Exasperated, Alaska recommended that all citizens receive the MMR3 jab. You can probably guess what happened next. As of July 31, nearly 400 people have been infected.

For the FOMO crowd, fret not. Almost certainly, mumps will be coming to a community near you.

Like Cuffed Jeans, Mumps Are Back With No Good Reason

By Julianna LeMieux — January 30, 2017

I recently returned from spending two weeks on a college campus in upstate New York. While there, I was surprised to see, in every building that I entered, signs posted with health information about mumps. Mumps... the same viral infection that was predicted to be eliminated from the United States by 2010.

Before the mumps vaccine was available in 1967, there were an estimated 150,000 - 200,000 cases reported each year. Since then, the number of cases of mumps has decreased by 99% in the United States. That being said, there remains a lot of fluctuation from year to year, easily seen in the graph below. To this point, there is an outbreak of mumps currently in Washington state, with nearly 300 cases reported - a large number compared to the normal ebb and flow of mumps from year to year......To Read More....

My Take - The Anti-Vaxxers are part and parcel of the "all natural" movement, which would include the greenies.  Just as millions have suffered and died as a result of "green" anti-pesticide initiatives all over the world, so too will we see an increase of preventable diseases in children whose parents chose to believe MMR vaccinations would cause autism in their children.

I've often wondered how heart broken those parents must be when their children die from a vaccine preventable disease knowing that outcome wasn't necessary.  But they chose to believe Hollywood hacks and junk scientists instead or medical professionals whose views are totally substantiated by history....most importantly.....by history.  History is the foundation of truth.

Those who promoted this movement have blood on their hands, including now unfrocked Dr. Andrew Jeremy Wakefield, who published the discredited work that started this scare, along with Jenny McCarthy and her Hollywood friends, and Oprah Winfrey for promoting McCarthy on her show.  But the British Medical Journal, The Lancet, must bear a lion's share of the blame for publishing his work, and taking so long to refute it.

All Natural and Going Green are sects of a pagan secular All Natural pseudo-religious movement, and in spite of their almost having a monopoly on being wrong - they to continue to embrace it and demand all others "believe. To be green  is to be irrational, misanthropic and morally defective. History shows dystopia follows green like Sancho Panza followed Don Quixote - a madman.

And that history is incontestable.
