What Does It Mean To Be a Leftist?

By Rich Kozlovich

Many years ago I was watching a television show dealing with how seriously peer pressure impacts children.  In this case teenage children. They demonstrated a study using a classroom as the lab for this experiment in human nature. Two sentences appeared on the blackboard, sentence “A” and sentence “B”. The class was asked, “Which sentence was the longest?” I don’t actually remember which sentence was the longest, but for this commentary let’s say that sentence “B” was actually the longest. This test was structured in such a way that only a small number of the kids in each group was "unaware" as to what was going on and could vote which- ever way they saw fit. All the rest were in on it and their job was to vote for sentence “A” as being the longest when in reality it was the shortest.

Now the question! How many of the control students voted along with the crowd for sentence “A” as being the longest, ignoring the obvious truth that sentence “B” was in reality longer? It appears that 93% of the test students chose to go along with the crowd rather that have the courage and integrity to stand up for the evidence of their own eyes. Going along to get along!

Although a recent study actually put the number at 95%, studies have a way of proving what the creator of the study wants proven. Therefore there is no way of knowing if 93% is a truly reliable number. Does it matter? Would it matter if the numbers were 90% or 80% or even less? Probably not, because science should be proving things that we can easily see going on around us and our own experiences in life show that the pressure on youngsters to go along is tremendous and most youngsters succumb to that pressure in greater or lesser degrees.

What is the point of all of this? The desire of young people to fit in is well known, but this isn’t really the issue. The real issue is this. How serious is this problem as we age? Quite frankly, I don’t think it changes all that much except on little issues. Adults have the courage to stand up for issues that don’t amount to much. I used to work with someone who was always the first to stand up and be counted. Always the first to criticize over any tiny issue that really didn’t matter much and would have had little impact on anything, especially his job. How did he respond when a serious issue arose between the company and the employees? Such as a change in how we were to be compensated? This was one of those issues where standing up and being counted could possibly cost you your job. The silence was deafening.

Adults, like children, also have convenient memories. Some years later at a social gathering this came up in discussion and his recollection was, “if you remember, I was the only one to speak out on this issue”.   Since he was generally regarded as being outspoken no one questioned it, at least until someone actually pointed out what was actually said and happened at that meeting, and all of a sudden memories became clear again because it was pointed out that after the boss temporarily walked out of the room his comment to the only one speaking up was “why don’t you shut up, I just hope this is all that they take away”.

It would appear that whenever issues become complex or challenging you get the same result with adults as you get with children. Why? Just because issues that appear to be a small matter to adults doesn't mean that these issues aren’t “big” to children. They don’t have the same concerns as adults. Being accepted by their peers is extremely important to children, especially teenage children. To their perspective, it has the same level of importance as major issues do to adults.

It is a matter of perception and once we realize this it is easy to realize why so many adults make so many decisions to go along with programs and issues that are clearly detrimental to their own interests. We use the term “peer pressure”, but in reality it isn’t a peer pressure problem. It is a herding problem. The innate desire to go along to get along. The need to be part of the herd.  I find it to more like the Stockholm Syndrome.

The size of the issue is a matter of perspective and fear of rejection, fear of being ridiculed, fear of job loss and fear of isolation cause people to go along to get along. Coupling these fears with a lack of knowledge and proper understanding of important issues absolutely assures the 93% rule. Is 93% the actual percentage for adult decision-making? Once again, I have no idea, but the rule certainly applies as a principle because the actual percentage is immaterial when that percentage is still very large.

Global Warming is one of those issues, and here are six questions that everyone needs to ask.

  1. Is it possible that no one sees the obviousness of promoting this insanity?
  2. Is it possible that no one sees that the fruitage of the environmental movement has been the unnecessary death of millions along with wretched living conditions and sickness for millions more?
  3. Is it possible that no one sees the devastation that has ensued in the third world as a result of promulgating environmentalist programs?
  4. Is it possible that no one sees that most of what the environmental movement has promoted has been based on fear mongering and lies?  At the very least lies of omission?
  5. Is it possible that no one sees that the Administrative State is not a neutral, willingly making decisions that have been disastrous to mankind without any scientific basis whatsoever? One could even say fraudulent science!
  6. Does no one see that these policies are detrimental to humanity?

Either we are making uninformed decisions or we are guilty of the 93% rule. Going along to get along! The appeasement mentality of Neville Chamberlain was in reality the 93% rule.

For entirely too long we've been required to stand up for things which are unproven or unprovable. To support things that are not true, while refuting or rejecting those things which are true, those things that work, those things that allow for the continuation of advanced societies.   We've been forced to believe in the fairy tales of people like the Mother of Junk Science, Rachel Carson and her acolytes, and call it science.” The only thing left is to hallow that which is unholy!

That's what it means to be a leftist.

Be Careful What You Wish For! June 23, 2020

By Rich Kozlovich

Well, the left, AKA, the Democrat party got what it wanted. Destroy the economy to get Trump.

They came after the President with every lunatic claim they could muster to smear and destroy him, but his personal life was an open book, and a not so pretty one at that.  Since everyone who voted for him knew it, that didn't work!  Then their impeachment claims fell like a ton of manure, and it fell right back on them, and as more information comes out, the manure is falling on a lot more people with the stench reaching very high levels of the Obama administration.

That left the economy.  Unfortunately for them, it was humming along so nicely they couldn't attack Trump on the economy without looking even more insane than before.   But, now we're facing one of the biggest political and scientific scams to hit the nation ever.  The coronavirus scam!  With this scientific fraud they managed to crush the economy and destroy a lot of lives, and waste trillions on their pet schemes.

But as the old saying goes - "be careful what you wish for!"  This is going to come back to haunt them.

A Machiavellian principle.

Machiavelli's book "The Prince" made some amazingly simple, yet brilliant observations.  He showed the only thing the common people really want.  Security!  People want to be fed, housed, and furthermore, they want to feel secure in their ability to continue to be able to house and feed their families. Democrats are obviously working to take that away from them, They’re not feeling that security now!  This won’t be forgotten at election time.

When the invertebrates in the Republican party ran McCain and Romney for the presidency, and conservatives stayed home in droves, my friends were aghast. I explained to them why.

It was clear these faux conservatives were taking the nation to exactly where the Democrat left was wanting to go, just a bit slower. They were all undercover Rockefeller Republicans, just like Richard Nixon.

Conservatives had finally come to two conclusions. They were no longer going to support the Republicans who were not truly conservative, and they felt the only way they could change the system was to allow the lunatic left to take over completely. That way the nation could see just how insane and corrupt they really are.

Now that’s happened.

There are some areas that will always have large segments of the population that will embrace leftist insanity. But as for right now, there are states that are totally dominated by the left, and now these states are going to face the consequences of their own leftist dystopian policies. Except, with these wasteful spending schemes to the tune of trillions of dollars to offset this coronavirus fraud, they expect the federal government to bail them out of the unsustainable spending practices that have gone of for decades. But the federal government isn’t going to bail them out.

They had the right to do whatever they wanted to regarding spending and taxation. The rest of the states have the right to expect them to face the consequences of their actions.

It's Schadenfreude time!

Do I feel sorry for those people? No. Year after year they looked down their noses at conservatives, constantly claiming conservatives were greedy, uncaring, selfish, racists and stupid. But they, the leftist, were pure of heart, righteous and brilliant. In short, they were better people with all their virtue signaling.

Now they can virtue signal themselves out of this mess, except for one thing. Those who've been in the forefront of all these leftist schemes are well off, and people with skills. They can afford to move to a state with conservative values in order to avoid facing the consequences of their stupidity, leaving the least able to fend for themselves.

Do I feel sorry for those left in these states who are unable to leave for various reasons? For the most part, No! When you talk to them about these issues they spout out the same level of weirdness and low information ignorance as the rest, and they're just as arrogant in their ignorance as the rest.

Being ignorant is the norm, it just means we just don't know, and since there's just so much information about everything in the world, we're all in some state of ignorance. But that's fixable with learning. Stupid on the other hand is different. The stupid are the ignorant who refuse to learn.

Life is hard, but it’s really hard when your stupid, and stupid can’t be fixed. It can only be crushed.

Observations From the Back Row: Media Outrage and Hypocrisy

By Rich Kozlovich

Today I've linked a number of articles dealing with the "fake news" and "The media is the enemy of Americans" issue surrounding President Trump.

Of course the media is outraged - they're finally being called to task by someone everyone has to listen to  - the owner of the Bully Pulpit - The President of the United States, Donald Trump.

He's called the media scum.  So have I and many others over the years.  He's called the media America's enemy.  So have I and many others over the years.  He's called the media liars.  So have I and many others over the years.  And the list goes on.

But when newsies like me - and all these others - exposed their craven mendacity it may had some effect, but how much can only be guessed at.  While we may have gotten others to see what we've been seeing for decades we couldn't change a thing as long as the leadership play the game by the media's rules, i.e., they decide what's important, who's important, what's news and what's not news.  In short - someone is finally saying to them - you don't have the power to control the message by lying and get away with it any longer.  And that someone is the President of the United States who doesn't care one whit whether the media likes him or not.  Mostly because he's smart enough to know no matter what he does they're going to hate and villify them.  And he understands appeasers are like the prey eaten by crocodiles.

He doesn't want money - he has more than he or his family can spend.  He doesn't want more power because he's got all he can handle.  He doesn't want prestige or he would have stayed out of this.  He doesn't want position because he is the "position".    And it's clear by his actions none of these things are of concern to him after he's out of office.

I never liked Trump.  From the beginning of this election cycle I dismissed both he and Bernie Sanders as "perpetual" candidates looking to get some publicity.  And that's what they were.  Both of the were as shocked as I when it looked like they actually had a following and could take their party's nomination. We now know that couldn't happen with the Democrats because it was rigged.

But it was possible in the Republican Party, and it did happen in the Republican party, the party the media hates.  Not the party of rigged elections, but the party that allowed someone the leadership despised to become it's nominee because the "people" of the Republican party decided who was to be the nominee, not the party leaders.  And they picked a nominee prominent Republicans repudiated, and a number of them - including George Will - even wanted Hillary to win.

I said back then: Tell me how a man treats his wife, and in this case wives, and I will tell you who he is.  Well, I really hate being wrong, but I also hate not admitting to being wrong.  As I'm fond of saying.....that was a logical fallacy.  First, his life was an open book so he didn't have anything to hide and his reputation couldn't have been worse.  Secondly, I didn't take into consideration a man who was unstable in his married life can still be successful in business.

If a man can be successful in business, he can be successful in politics, because both require good acting skills.  He never expected to be where he is and when it became obvious to him he might actually win the Presidency, I saw a change.  He's now come to believe he can save America from the socialists who've been working to destroy the Constitution, American capitalism and the nation.  An ongoing effort since Stalin sent his agents here to do so in the 1920's, and the Democrat party with FDR was instrumental in that infiltration.

That infiltration included the newspapers, radio, Hollywood, the unions, academia and every department of the federal government, including what became the CIA.   Are you ready for this?  McCarthy was right.  His numbers may have been off, but based on what we know from the VENONA intercepts, perhaps not by much.  One more thing.  McCarthy's Senate committee only looked into communist infiltration of government.  It was the House on UnAmerica Activities Committee (HUAC) in the House run by the Democrats who went after Hollywood.

Do you see the pattern?  McCarthy has been vilified for decades by the Democrats and their propaganda machine - the main stream media in the fifties, but actually the corruption goes back to before WWII.  During the war they even promoted Stalin and Russia as allies against Hitler, easily forgetting they were collaborators of Hitler invading Poland, the Baltic states and Finland.

Donald Trump has taken them to task and they're outraged at being exposed as "alcoholics" of news.  Addicted to the power, prestige and privilege that's been bestowed upon them by themselves.  That's over with.  With the exception of  Reince Priebus, White House Chief of Staff, the Trump team won't play their game.

Trump's team is going to lay down the rules and the media will play by them or be out.  The main stream media is toast and the so-called alternative media is going to become transcendent because the alternative media doesn't need Trump and will say what they believe to be true without concern about pride, prejudice or privilege.

Trump reminds me of me - "It's not about me, it's about the mission."  And part of his mission in saving America means destroying the traitors, liars, and charlatans of the media.  And the idea of a man who's played the clown saving America must he heady stuff for him, and that's how he sees his place in history.  The President who saved America.  With that as a goal: who cares what the media thinks?

One more thing.  For those of us who remember when Reagan fired all the air traffic controllers we remember the media's, and the Democrats, outrage.  Reagan won, even against advisers in his own party and administration - and the net result?  The postal workers, who threatened to strike, didn't, and world leaders realized they were facing  a real man who was not to be taken lightly, and the Soviet Union collapsed.

Don't kid yourself.  The world's leaders were aware Obama - and his administration - on their best day had a backbone of spaghetti and the mental and intellectual discipline of a child.  The world's leaders understand Trump and his administration is made up of adults who are smart, knowledgeable, tough and fearless.

America's greatest threat durning the Reagan years was the Soviet Union.  Reagan's goal was to defeat the Soviet Union and he made compromises with the left in order to do so.  The world is going to change, and the left, which has been a threat to the nation for over a hundred years, is now the number one threat to the nation's continued existence.

Just as Reagan bested the air traffic controllers and brought down the Soviet Union, Trump is going to have to face down the media because his goal must be to defeat the left.   Trump must stay the course and expose the media for whom and what they are in order to accomplish that mission.

Like Cuffed Jeans, Mumps Are Back With No Good Reason

By Julianna LeMieux — January 30, 2017

I recently returned from spending two weeks on a college campus in upstate New York. While there, I was surprised to see, in every building that I entered, signs posted with health information about mumps. Mumps... the same viral infection that was predicted to be eliminated from the United States by 2010.

Before the mumps vaccine was available in 1967, there were an estimated 150,000 - 200,000 cases reported each year. Since then, the number of cases of mumps has decreased by 99% in the United States. That being said, there remains a lot of fluctuation from year to year, easily seen in the graph below. To this point, there is an outbreak of mumps currently in Washington state, with nearly 300 cases reported - a large number compared to the normal ebb and flow of mumps from year to year......To Read More....

My Take - The Anti-Vaxxers are part and parcel of the "all natural" movement, which would include the greenies.  Just as millions have suffered and died as a result of "green" anti-pesticide initiatives all over the world, so too will we see an increase of preventable diseases in children whose parents chose to believe MMR vaccinations would cause autism in their children.

I've often wondered how heart broken those parents must be when their children die from a vaccine preventable disease knowing that outcome wasn't necessary.  But they chose to believe Hollywood hacks and junk scientists instead or medical professionals whose views are totally substantiated by history....most importantly.....by history.  History is the foundation of truth.

Those who promoted this movement have blood on their hands, including now unfrocked Dr. Andrew Jeremy Wakefield, who published the discredited work that started this scare, along with Jenny McCarthy and her Hollywood friends, and Oprah Winfrey for promoting McCarthy on her show.  But the British Medical Journal, The Lancet, must bear a lion's share of the blame for publishing his work, and taking so long to refute it.

All Natural and Going Green are sects of a pagan secular All Natural pseudo-religious movement, and in spite of their almost having a monopoly on being wrong - they to continue to embrace it and demand all others "believe. To be green  is to be irrational, misanthropic and morally defective. History shows dystopia follows green like Sancho Panza followed Don Quixote - a madman.

And that history is incontestable.
